Physical Description:
Kelvin has a moderate height (5' 8" wink and build, though he falls on the more slender side of of the spectrum. His black hair, dark brown eyes, and light tan reflect his Chinese heritage.
As far as clothing goes, Kelvin has the look of a typical college student: he usually wears screen-printed T-shirts paired with a hoodie or casual jacket, jeans, and brightly-colored sneakers. He's almost never seen without his laptop messenger bag in tow, and is typically plugged into his mp3 player while he's out and about campus. Being slightly nearsighted, Kelvin sometimes wears glasses...but he usually neglects to put them on unless he absolutely needs to use them.
Kelvin has a jade pendant carved in the likeness of Guanyin, the bodhisattva known for compassion, that he wears around his neck on a red string, usually underneath his shirt.
Personality Description:
Kelvin is a little on the quieter side, but he's friendly and easygoing - an inoffensive and easy-to-get-along-with type of guy - but even his closest friends can't help but suspect that he may just be indiscriminately friendly, that perhaps he'd treat anyone the same way. While they certainly don't doubt his sincerity, they also can't shake the feeling that maybe he doesn't show what he's actually thinking.
Quirks:
Kelvin's chemist father and physicist mother chose his name thinking that it would help inspire him to scientific greatness. Little did they know that it would also lead to a lifetime of being frequently addressed as "Kevin" and a subsequent profound aversion to being called by that name.
History:
For 20 years, Kelvin has lived an uneventful but pleasant life as the prototypical good kid and student. Hardworking and studious, he graduated as the salutatorian of his high school class and is currently working toward a bachelor's in biology with the aim of applying to medical school in another year. Everything's going so well that he's been slowly falling into a state of complacency, swallowed by the regular rhythms of classes, study, and his part-time job as a medical receptionist at Dr. Dharma Daena's clinic.
Really, the only cause for concern on Kelvin's radar is his upcoming MCAT exam, but he's already started preparing for it when he won't even be taking it for over another half year. What could possibly go wrong between now and then?
