You may have heard legends of a dashing sky pirate and his Viera partner?
These are not legends my friend, they are reality.

He called himself "The Leading Man", and he had reason to. After all, he was quite charming, witty, handsome, and a close friend of the Great Walrus.

This is his story.

Not too long ago, a baby boy was born to a great scientist. He was his pride and joy and would remain that way for several years to come. As the boy grew into a man, and had relied on his father's guidance most of his life, he followed the path set out before him-to become an Imperial Judge.

He was not happy however, and grew weary of his father's increasingly insane behavior. Eventually, he quit his job and changed his name, committing to thievery, cheap beer, and fine women. He had it all.

And so as his infamous reputation grew, he was known as "The Long Pirate" all across Ivalice. According to many women, his name was quite fitting. Despite his luxurious lifestyle, he was rather bored most of the time. That is, until he met a majestic Viera woman, named Fran. Fran was unlike any other woman he met-after all, she wasn't even a hume. Perhaps that is what intrigued him, for not long after their meeting they became close friends and partners in crime. Literally. They stole airships, treasure, and most notably cookies from the Princess Ashe herself. So what? Rebels don't care. He had been living the high life for quite some time now, and he wasn't about to stop because of something like this.

Until the day came when he got TOO involved with matters of politics. He'd run into a homeless girl and a local idiot, freed a man who would soon become The Great Walrus, and managed to kidnap the princess (despite the fact that she begged him to) all in one day.

"This is not wise." His partner probably said at some point.

"The leading man always wins." Sometimes he didn't respond logically.

Either way, the Long Pirate found himself more wrapped up in matters he wasn't supposed to care about than he could handle. He even faced his senile father. And after a long and eye-opening experience, he decided he was ok with that. Caring wasn't so bad. In fact, it was great! Therefore he decided to give his prized airship to the local idiot as a show of his care.

*Note, after a naked mud wrestling fight with the local idiot who had no nipples, he did steal his airship back.

In the end, the Long Pirate managed to help save an entire nation from it's demise. Being a rebel though, he couldn't stay for long, for there was treasure to be stolen and a reputation to keep up~
