Oh, come on! I just started!
scream Luckily, the zombie bites in this game are not contagous, so all that happens is he looses some health.
ಠ_ಠ And again! Quit sticking your hand out the window, guys!
Okay, well I better get some food. Time to scavenge!
Oh yeah, Herp got bittten as I was pulling the car over, but I decided I didn't care enough to screencap it.
So this is the info page, complete with actions we can choose from. Our lack of food has been causing everyone to loose health pretty fast, so let's go find some snacks! °ᴥ°
<screenshot missing>
So, now we're out in the wilderness. Occasionally, zombies will wander in from off screen and food will appear out of nowhere. However, the food we're looking for is...
The shopping cart! This is pretty much the only item worth scavenging for. It always gives you more food than you can carry (you can only carry back 200 ounces) and thus is the only item we will be picking up when we scavenge.
This is also probably going to be the only screenshots of scavenging I will be posting because it is hard to take pictures and shoot zombies at the same time. As far as I know, this is the only way your character can loose health. Your character dies, it's game over.
So, we scavenge for shopping carts a few times to get a whole lot of food. Later on, we can trade our surplous food for other important items. In other words, food is basically free currancy.
Ok, time to head on!
... Okay, well I think we can still make it to the next landmark and rest there.
And here we are in Pittsburgh. We don't need to trade for anything right now, so I'll show you what the map looks like, rest up a bit, and then we'll be on our way.
This is the map that shows our route. The red line shows how far we have traveled so far. As you can see, we have quite a ways to go so le't get to it.

I rested 5 hours, and in that time Herp recovered from the T-Virus, and the team has recovered health. The only reason I have not recovered any health (a zombie got me while I was getting a scavenging screenshot. You're welcome.) is because your character, in exchange for not getting sick or injured while travelling, cannot heal.
The zombie activity is low, so now's a good time to head to our next landmark.
...And apparently it was not low enough. A large, ravenous horde of zombies is the worst kind. Let's see our options:
<screenshot missing, again. But it said something along the lines of:
1.try to sneak through the horde unnoticed. 2. Try to rush your way through the horde, guns firing. 3. Hire mercenaries to escort you safely through the horde. 4. Wait and see if the horde disperses. 5. Learn more about these choices. >
Hrm... I don't think I can sneak through while they're all riled up like that, I don't feel comfortable taking on a large horde, and I don't want to part with my precious moo-lah quite yet. Let's wait an hour to see if they calm down.
You cautiously wait near the horde for an hour. And now they are Docile! Wow, usually it takes longer than that for them to calm down. It's still a large horde, though, but I'm gonna try sneaking past through them.
That's a lot of zombies....YES!
biggrin And now we can continue on our journey.
... Next time!
