Personality:
Arya has been described by most people who know her as a b***h. She is extremely ruthless, aggressive, and manipulative, using coercion and deception to get her way. Also, she does not trust most people, and recognizes no authority other than her own. Arya is especially wary of people she senses are about as strong as her, and attempts to eliminate them. She does respect Alex, her adoptive older brother, but still defies him when his wishes are in direct opposition to hers.

Background:
When she was a baby, she was found by firefighters amidst the rubble of a burned-down apartment. Around her neck was a silver locket with the word “Arya” etched into it; this was thus the name given to her at the orphanage. Her last name was never known, though, as everyone else in the apartment was dead and the apartment was too badly burned for anyone to ascertain whose baby she was. She was taken to the hospital for medical examination; to the doctors’ surprise, she suffered no burns, though she did need to be given oxygen and treatment for a few bruises.

After treatment, she was transferred to Sunny Fields Orphanage, where she spent the first twelve years of her life. She was described, for the most part, as a shy, rather intelligent kid who spent most of her time reading various history books. She never really enjoyed most of the games the other children did. The other children didn’t like her much, and a few concocted the meanest pranks they could think of. One infamous prank they pulled was hiding dead moths or cockroaches in the pages of the books they knew were her favorites, to startle her when she would open them. These same kids would also vandalize these books and place them on high shelves she couldn’t reach. Occasionally she had tried to ask them to stop; for her efforts she often got beaten around by them, who were larger and stronger than she was. The matron didn’t pay much attention to this, as she felt she couldn’t be bothered with their childish antics; occasionally she would give the offenders a token sermon, but that was it.

This went on for about a few years of her life until the cold Christmas Eve of 2002. That day, she had been beaten particularly badly, and she was rather dizzy after that. Her normally coal-black eyes flashed a brilliant vermillion, and soon, the whole orphanage caught fire. The bullies, who were just about to leave her, saw this and ran in terror, reporting the incident to the matron. The matron immediately jumped to the conclusion that Arya was a demon and threw her out of the orphanage, leaving her on the streets to fend for herself.

During her time on the streets, she learned to fight for herself, warding off muggers and other petty criminals with her newfound power. Soon, she had gained some influence and also a small fortune from their earnings. Along the way, she met Konstantinos “Constantine” Dimas, a Macedonian immigrant who was wandering about the streets looking for a challenge. She stepped up and decided to face him with her power. Even though Constantine was durable and strong, Arya was quicker than he was, and managed to pound him into submission with her whip and her flame tongues. Impressed with Constantine’s ability to take incredible amounts of punishment, Arya decided to recruit him into a group that she called “The Organization.”

Arya decided she needed a Water-type and a Wind-type to close out the team. Using her new influence on the town’s resident petty criminals, she found out about Luther Kaulitz, an associate professor at Argent University who also happened to be a rather powerful ice mage. Unfortunately for her, the phone number she was given was one digit wrong, leading her not to Luther but to a middle school student named Dylan Warren. Calling him over, she asked for a demonstration of his power. Seeing her, he was immediately infatuated and hoped to impress her. He created a twenty-foot wall of water; Arya, not having seen many of his kind at the time, was easily swayed, and thus she recruited Dylan as the team’s Water-type. Thus, the Organization was born, and for a while they ruled the town’s petty crime—they terrified police officers with their power while getting tributes from the small-time thieves.

About three years into the existence of the Organization, Alex Altair, once renowned as his town’s most powerful aeromancer, stirred from his coma and, using his share of the Altair fortune, moved into a mansion a few hundred meters away from the forest. A few thieves attempted to mug him, but he easily dispatched them with his winds. Sensing a potential ally, Arya challenged him to a one-on-one duel, which she actually won by a narrow margin after half an hour of relentless bombing. (Alex actually lost that fight on purpose, as his prepared counterattack would have maimed her badly.) Impressed by Alex’s clear strength, Arya decided to ask him to be their fourth member. Smiling, he told her that she reminded him of someone he used to know, and that she deserved a much better life than her experience on the streets. He agreed to be their wind mage, and in the process, adopted Arya as his younger sister.

Now, Arya, taking Alex’s words to heart, decided that their team was no longer going to be a mere bodyguard for a bunch of thieves, and had her eyes set on world domination. Also, the Organization had gained quite a reputation, leading their town’s police force to contact several mercenary groups, including the neighboring city’s Exterminators, in order to capture them. Because of this constant threat, Arya grew distrustful of other people who had extraordinary strength, and from seeking to recruit them, she moved to trying to kill them off. To assist her with her mission, she learned to use her magic to create the mortar-wielding, half dragon, half knight familiar known as Kaiser.

Spells:

The Seven Tongues of God
Cost: ****
Rank: B+
One of Arya’s few distinctive spells (in other words, one of her only spells you can actually see before getting flambéed alive), it is an attack that consists of seven brilliant plumes of fire that strike a single target.

Stars over Babylon
Cost: *******
Rank: S
This other spell is Arya’s trademark. She relentlessly bombards an area with huge fireballs for five minutes; these fireballs are capable of incinerating almost anything they come into contact with. Combined with Kaiser’s firepower, she is able to use this spell to level entire cities.

Weapon:
Whip
Cost: *
Rank: C-
An ordinary whip of fire that serves little practical purpose to her other than additional damage and a symbol of her dominance.

Familiar:

Kaiser
Rank: S
Kaiser is Arya’s familiar and the embodiment of her destructive desires. He is seventeen feet tall, and has the upper body of a knight and the lower body of a dragon. Kaiser is covered in armor from head to toe and armed with a mortar launcher, which is his main means of attack. He can also shoot flames from his eyes and mouth. Though he is sentient and even shows signs of some intelligence, he is exceedingly subservient to Arya, not performing any action she does not tell him to perform.
