Wow, now that was SO fun! Yes, I went to it, and I'm gonna tell you all who are willing to read this about it. ^^ But be warned, this will be long.
Oh, and in case you didn't know, the Otakon is an Anime Convention in Downtown Baltimore.
Hmm, where to start? I guess the beginning. =D So, I went with my dad and my dear friend, Lulu. My dad thought that it was a freak convention. (it was so hilarious to see his expression) Lu and I didn't dress up, but we were wearing our Naruto Ninja headbands, Hidden Mist for me, and Hidden Sound for Lu. I was also wearing a pokeball around my neck. Lu kept saying I was a "Poke Pirate Ninja" becase of the pokeball, and the headband was around my head, in a way that I looked like a pirate. xD
Anyway, when we got there, I was pratically hopping up and down from excitment. The line to buy memberships was wrapped around the building, (and it's a big building) and we got at the end. Pretty much 2 hours of waiting in line, but it was worth it, and it moved fast. It was really hot though, 100+ degrees, so.. that didn't end very well. D: Since it was our first time, we were just looking at everyone's costumes and pointing out the ones we knew. We saw this group with Sora, Riku, and Roxas, and they had really good costumes. So I though, 'Oh yeah, I'm getting their picture before we leave.' But they were way ahead of us in line, so that didn't happen for a while. Eventually, I got out my DS and went onto Pictochat, where two other people were talking. They were nice, and started talking to me too. I looked in front of us, and there was some guy holding a DS, so on the chat, I said, 'I see some guy with a red shirt and a DS in front of me. I'm wearing a white shirt and a Hidden Mist headband.' Well, the guy started to look around. xD He turned around and I waved. He's like "It's YOU!" Then Lu brought out pocky, and I almost screamed "POCKY!" XD And then, a guy dressed as a sumo walked by. He was fat and everything! It was so funny, I fell on the ground laughing. y dad's face was all red. XD Blah blah blah, we got much further in line, and we were almost at the door. I saw this one guy as Riku walk by, and he was perfect! He disappeared, and I turned to Lu, saying "He's hot!" And she started laughing at me. So I kinda smacked her. ^^;; But I told myself I'd definately get a pic of him.
I told you it would be long. And it's not even near done. =O We got inside, and had to wait in another line, but it wasn't very long. Nothing special, 'till we got up to the registration. We got our stuff ($60 per ticket! D: ) and we couldn't figure out how to get the neck chord into the card thing. xD When we finally did, the Sora, Riku, and Roxas from before were right behind us. So I asked for their pic. Whoo hoo. =P
The convention center is divided into two buildings, and the layout's really cool. I liked the second building better, because there was a second level with openings so you could sit and see everything on the first floor too. There's also a skywalk from the first building to the second. But there were so many rooms, we got really confused. After dragging my dad and Lu around the buildings about 3 times, we knew our way around. xD So we went to the very end of the second building and hung around there for a while. It was a HUGE room, with fountains and lots of people. Lots. We walked around there a bit, and up some steps, there was a bunch of Orginazation members. I asked for their pic, but they said, "We're missing about 3 members. Two are at Burger King, and one's not coming 'til 2." So I waited, and the two from Burger King walked right in. xD I took a pic then, and it should be down there somewhere.
Then we had lunch, and Lu swore that she saw that SRR (I'm gonna call them that from now on, cause we saw them a lot) walk behind us. O_o After that, we got in a line for some Video Game room. The people in the line were CRAZY!! They were chanting "What do we want? VIDEO GAMES! When do we want them? NOW!" And the people behind us screamed in our ears. D: But Lu was happy, cause she saw a Cloud throw a muffin at a Tifa. xD I saw that one Riku on the steps, and I looked at Lu, my jaw just dropped. She looked at me weird, and I pointed to the steps, but he was gone! Dx So I banged my head on Lu's shoulder. We also spotted SSR up on the steps too. O_- The Game room was supposed to open at 12, but it didn't 'til about 12:15 or 12:30. I think it was because of all the people screaming. o_o But when we got in, I think I started to drool. It was a humungous room, with very, very many video games. &3 It was like heaven. But of course, we didn't get to play any, cause everyone ran when the people said walk. My dad told me not to run, then a guy next to me yelled 'run!' The DDR line was SO long only one minute after coming in! D: I wanted to play SSBM, but there was a huge line for that too.
We walked back to the entrance of the second building, and sat down. We were really tired, and it was so hot. Me and Lu sat next to the glass, so we could watch people walk by down below. I even made a video, but you can't see it. mad My voice sounds so crappy anyway. x3 I got a lot of good pictures by just sitting around.
There was this HUGE line for the Dealer's room that went all the way outside. It suddenly started moving really fast, so we jumped in. The room is big, very very big. They had everything anime that you could imagine down there! But it was really hot, and somehow, it just made us feel weird, 'cause I felt sick, and Lu was shaking. We each bought a black fan with two dragons and a yin-yang symbol on it. Lu got a Leaf Village shirt for her, and a Sasuke shirt for her sister. I got a Celebi plushie, which I love dearly. <3 After that, we had to go upstairs, because I felt really bad.Once we got back up, I was all hyper again. O_o
For the rest of the time, we just sat around. We saw SRR AGAIN, going down to the Dealer's room after we came up. Around 5:30, we got in line for the Gaia presentation. It was great! Period. We saw a trailer for the new Gaia Battle System, which no one has seen before. Jakabo was hosting it, and Lanzer was there too. And some other new admin. Jakabo asked, "Now, which one? Ninjas or Pirates?" It was all scattered until you coudl hear a chant of "Ninja! Ninja! Ninja!" Me and Lu were holding up our headbands chanting. xD So sometime soon, we're gonna be seeing a new set of Ninja stuff. There are also new NPC's that are really cool looking. Jakabo was funny. He's said, "Well, as we've been hearing, not a lot of people like the new layout." And everyone started booing. "So, we'll be replacing the Tropicana Kids, as people have affectionately called them, with these characters." Two much cooler characters came up on the screen, and everyone started cheering and whistling, yada yada. Tropicana kids. xD They showed a bunch of sketches for monsters for the battle system too. One was a mosquito alarm clock, "combining two of the most annoying things." xD And there's gonna be a new world thing, the Enchanted Forest. It looks so cool! The trees are really pretty. ^^ But, by far, the Battle System looks the best. The trailer went as follows: A mechanical dog was sitting in towns. Lanzer, I think it was, went up to it and hearts floated up. Then the music changed, and the dog started kicking him. xD He did the emoticon that's waving it's arms wildly, like saying "HELP!" Then some guy camed it and slashed the dog, making it fly into the air, then another guy had a REALLY long sword, and again slashed the dog, doing 9999 damage. xD Also, two people in the audience got Chickie and Bunnie slippers, because they had markers under their chair. Jakabo told us to look under our chair, and I acidentally pulled off the tag. XD After that, we left. But we saw SSR again on our way out. THE END!!
I'm sorry if you read all of that. But, I did warn you. Overall, it was probably thefunnest thing I've ever did. xD I can't wait for next year! Me and Lu are going as Sakura and Ino. ^^

[x] - Sasuke and Frog Man from Naruto. (I call him frog man 'cause I have no clue who he is. xD) They were in front of us in line. Both of them were really nice. And after the pic, Sasuke said "I like both of your costumes." And I said "Well, we don't really have costumes, just our headbands.." And then he's like, "Hey, but that's cool too! Power of the Mist!" XD
[x] - SSR, as I've been calling them. The Sora, Riku, and Roxas from the very beginning. They weren't very nice, cause when I asked for a pic, they didn't say anything. In my opinion, that's kinda rude. mad They are also our personal stalkers, I swear. We saw them AT LEAST 6 times! And the Riku's so deformed! Riku has long hair, not an ugly mushroom cut. D:
[x] - Here's a whole group dressed as Kingdom Hearts people. Roxas, namine, Riku, Kairi, and Sora. Sora had really bright blue eyes, and she's a girl. I'm not weirded out by it, but apparently cross-dressing is common and conventions. There were a lot of girls dressed as Riku. D: I even saw 2 guys in dresses, make-up and everything. They scared me. O_O
[x] - These guys dressed as Ian, Edmund, Gambino, and Gino. I thought that was so awesome! They even gave us homemade G-Pins! =D
[x] - Two girls as Leon and Axel. They had pretty good costumes, but I saw a lot of Axels that day. @.@
[x] - A girl dressed as Yuna. A lot of people were taking her pic, and she had a great costume.
[x] - She was dressed as Rina, the NPC. She was pretty nice, she talked to me a bit. I thought it was neat how some people dressed as Gaia people. ^^
[x] - A whole group of KH people. People just swarmed to take their pic, so mine's not very good. ^^; It's Yuffie, Marluxia, Mickey (xD), Xaldin, I think a Pirate, and a Dusk. The Dusk costume was awesome, just awesome. The sides of the legs even light up!
[x] - Ash. XD I saw him in the pictures of last year's Otakon. He even gave me a thumbs up. ^^
[x] - Another group of KH people. If you can't tell, I only took pics of characters I knew. Seifer, Namine, Rai, Roxas, Hayner, and Pence. I have another pic of that Hayner too. She has the same pose, and Lu calls her a hitch hiker. XD
[x] - Orginazation XIII! But I think there's only 9. xD Xemnas' lightsabers just stick out there. I saw a bunch of Orginazation members scattered around, but these were the only ones together. I wish I had that many friends. x3
[x] - Choji was, not surprisingly, by the snack bar. xD After the pic, he said "I can't do a good Choji pose. I can do him when he's tired though!" And he made the funniest face! It looked like gonk , only more sleepy. XD
[x] - Team Magma and Aqua! They had really good costumes, and I was surprised to see people dressed as Pokemon peoples. They were trying to do a post that said "I hate you."
[x] - Now this was creative! Sora, Donald, and Goofy in black and white. Later, we saw them going down the elevator, and Sora was next to a guy with colorful clothes on. I had to look twice. xD
[x] - Rikku's my favorite character, so I just had to get a pic of her.
[x] - HOLY CRAP! It's Jesus!! XD He was standing on the side, and when people passed by, they're take pics. He'd point his fingers at them like a gun. I couldn't contain my laughter.
[x] - It's Hitchiker Hayner yet again! With Rai, Seifer, and.. that one girl who's name I can't remember. ^^; They probably thought we stalked them, 'cause we went in the bathroom and saw Hayner and white haired girl, and came back out to see Rai and Seifer. So we were waiting there until they were about to leave.
[x] - I loved these guys. Naruto was suprisingly quiet, and Sasuke was wandering off. I asked Sakura for a pic, and she called Sasuke. He said what, and she's like "Picture!" His face light up and he jumped in front of her sign. She told him to move, and he jumped next to Naruto. Sakura's sign says: "Stop saying 'Believe it!' Naruto no baka!" XD After the pic, I told them how Lu screams everytime Naruto says that, and Sasuke and Sakura laughed. Sasuke let out this loud laugh that was weird, but funny. xD
[x] - Really nice Shino, with a great costume. He even had the bugs on his face! Fake, of course. xD
[x] - Temari's my favorite Naruto character, so I had to get a pic of her too. She was with Shino, and she was really nice. ^o^
