Misunderstandings and hurt feelings ended the best friendship I've ever had. The things I didn't say, the things I was too honest about, and the trust in the strength of that friendship that wasn't as strong as I thought ended it. Now all I can do is hope that my heart can take making new friends, and being open with them.
No other friendship made me feel so safe, and understood, and now that's gone. I am not okay, but I'll try to be. I'm going to try to take what I've learned, and the support I had, and try to be a better person and a better grown up.
And I will try to live with not communicating to them that they meant as much to me as my own life, my own fiance. It won't be easy, at all. All I can do now is miss them, and wish that life didn't suck.
