Little Bubbles
I think my favorite thing on Gaia has to be my Aquarium. I always wanted one as a girl; a great big tank where colorful little fish could dart in and out of a little sunken ship. I never got one, though. Not until now...
Naming Fish and Fish Descriptions
CURRENT TANK HEALTH: 46.38%
FISH: Tatia Marina (2 Days) and Eddingale Orion (3 Days), Sharktooth fish
Brenna (40 Days) and Darius (3 Days), Arrow fish
Adelia (10 Days), Rupert (75 Days), and Orion (56 Days), Cuttlefish
NATURAL light, MODERATE temperature, ambient music KELP!

I think one of the harder parts of running a tank has to be naming the fish. Sometimes, it's really not that easy. Oh, I suppose you could call your goldfish "Goldie" or your sharktooth fish "Ed Grimley" to keep it simple, but where's the fun in that when ten thousand other Gaia users might be doing the exact same thing? And myself, I like a slightly more whimsical tank than that. So typically what I do is just name my fish the first fanciful name I can think of. Of course, that doesn't always work. I have two fish named Orion now and I still haven't figured out where Rupert came from. But then, that's kind of the way I like it. You don't meet many guys named Eddingale these days. Actually, I don't think that's even a real name...

Which reminds me, who is Ed Grimley anyway? That's always slightly puzzled me. I suppose I could always go and look it up on Google, but if the sharktooth fish was designed after his hair... well... I'm not sure I want to know. Ignorance is bliss, right?

My time with Brenna is coming to a close. I'll be sure to stop by my tank a few extra times in the next couple of days, just to be sure she's well fed and happy before she dies. Yes, I know, the fish don't actually have genders. I typically reference mine by the gender I associate with the name. For example, Tatia Marina is feminine, Eddingale Orion is male. Therefore I have a 'male' sharktooth fish and a 'female' sharktooth fish. Now if only they could breed, and I could have lots of baby sharktooth fish... but I honestly doubt Gaia will ever let the fish breed. Call it a hunch, but I don't think they'll go there. So for the next couple of days I'll give Brenna some extra attention, click the glass a little more than usual, and maybe feed the whole lot of them a time or two extra. Maybe I'm being silly and it doesn't make a difference after the first visit, but who knows. Maybe my fish will be 'happy' with her long life and I'll get a really good item drop.

Well, that's all for today. Tomorrow's topic will be how to maintain a healthy tank. I hope it's useful!

Yours,
Emi Anne
