Snake Eyes
In the dark I hide, rolling dice by my side.
“My friend you got snake eyes.”
I nod my head with a small curse on my tongue.
“Get a pair of dukes or higher. Or your eyes are mine.”
“Yes my dear friend.” I replied. Taking one more chance with the dyes.
A loud smack sounded on the floor. “I own your heart and soul but nothing more.”
There was this throb in my chest at my friend’s voice.
“Another round?”
I nod my head, placing my hand in the hole of my chest.
“Your call.”
“Ship’s caption and crew; low for my heart.” The dice fell with a clatter.
“You have them all with snake eyes.”
The dice clattered the floor as I screamed from the searing pain that came to me. “Now my soul. Ones are free.”
There was a smack on my cheek as the dice fell dead.
“You have your soul and heart again. I call another for your life.”
“If the dyes favor me?”
“Myself goes to you.”
“Agreed.” The dice clanged to gather. “Six, five, four.” My heart skipped as the dice fell to the floor.
“Three fives in one.”
I leaned forward, blowing prays at the squares.
I took a smack at them.
“Your mine.”
The dice fell to the floor and stood still.
Nothing but silence.
I screamed at the smack across my face.
My eyes closed.
