Today is not just any day. Today is today. Today is the day. The day that is now. The day were you can decide what you want to do with your life. Wear blue socks or green socks. Write with a pen or pencil. Eat cereal with a spoon or a fork; or if you are feeling really rebellious, a spork. Yes, today, you can choose. You can do what you want (unless it you choose something like travel at the speed of light, then I wish you luck, because you are going to need it) you can do it because this is your life. Really. Much to popular belief, pandas are not controlling Earth (at least not yet.) So I suggest you kick back and relax and do what you want to do. Enjoy. Life is what happens now. Worry about things later.
 
Like global warming. Everyone knows that global warming is going to cause apocalyptic events that is going to destroy mankind if not the whole world. However, don’t be alarmed world, nothing too devastating has happened because of global warming. Like all those hurricanes, heat waves and arctic glaciers melting – minor. Just wait till the real thing happens. Think about it, hurricane Katrina turned New Orleans into a giant swimming pool, the heat wave that hit Europe in the summer of 2003 killed about 25,000 people. And those glaciers? They are still there; otherwise Hawaii, among other places would be cover by liquid some people call “water.” If you knew this, try and act surprised. A simple gasp will do. And, just wait till later, Hawaii really will be just a rock in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. Just forget all this – remember out of sight out of mind. Say it again (to yourself otherwise people will stare) say it about…50 times and I think you will remember it. If not, write it down. That way you definitely won’t forget. However, if you do mange to forget, I will pray either you will suddenly be able to remember things or get hit by a bolt of lighting so your genes won’t be passed along. Remember, this is not called being cruel, it is called social Darwinism.
 
Anyways, forget about the meteor that is heading towards Earth this very second which could probably hit in about 30 years. And who knows it might miss ( chances are I in 45,000 chance of hitting) The good news is if you are not exactly where the meteor hits, you might survive! And now 7 billion people are now wishing it won’t where they are. If this actually works like American Idol, then Hawaii is toast. Come on people, forget about where you live (unless you live in Hawaii) pray for Hawaii.
 
How about this: forget about Homework that needs to be done. Who cares about how not doing your homework could make you flunk your classes, go to a junk college (assuming you get in) and wind up working at a local fast food restaurant. Who really cares?
 
The point is forget what you need to do and do what you want to do because you can. You can do it because today is today. Good luck with the rest of your life.
 
 
 
By the way I take no credit for ANYTHING that you do. If YOU do it, then it is YOUR fault – not mine. If you blow off homework because you are busy reading this, go to a junk college and blah, blah, blah, then it is your fault.
 
And do not question how I got from socks to blaming me for not getting a great job. I am just the author of this.
