indeed it is, thus rendering this rant irrelevant before i even begin

but since its a journal im allowed to act emo philosophical once in a while

k, topic is happiness

99% of the world wants to be happy, as their ultimate life goal, even if they dont say it

the other 1% are just twisted ******** (no offense or anything)

but the question is...

does everyone deserve to be happy?

should everyone be happy?

is it possible?

logically its not. i dont think its possible for everyone to be truly happy

maybe to have one moment of happiness, but not enough to create an overall satisfaction with their life.

and its sad

no one even realises this because theyre all so wrapped up with the concern of their own happiness and their own wants and needs that they forget other people are suffering physically/emotionally/mentally/ecetera

people nowadays are so focussed on what they want. they dont even stop to think that a pair of shoes or a nice car wont necessarily bring them happiness or serve any purpose

we often forget that helping someone else or doing someone else a favour or buying someone else a random gift can bring happiness. you may suffer a loss of time or a small amount of money but it brings far more in the long run

but that is beside the point.

we generally view love = happiness

but not everyone is going to find it

especially if soulmates is how it really works. which it cant. because your soulmate might be a chinese midget who works in a fish shed for a minimum wage and may already be attatched to a huge family demanding welfare checks. chances are youll never meet him. and if you do, you wont wanna go near him for obvious reasons.

but we cant go around treating everyone like theyre potential lovers. we dont have time.

basically it could be anyone. it depends largely on how you act and the circumstances you undertake with each person.
