It is hard to believe it had ever happened, that the magical world I came to know ever existed outside of my mind. A world full of name-stealing witches, spirits, and boys who turned into dragons.
When I was young, I didn't understand how I felt about Haku. Now that I am older, I know that he was more than my friend he was my first love. My savior, my Haku.
First he saved my from the raging waters of his own river, then from the clutches of the evil Yubaba. I owed so much to him.
I prayed for years that his promise to see me again would happen. That one day while walking down the street I would see him and we would run into the others waiting arms. But now, I can not even remember his face not even the sound of his voice.
I hate myself for it. I fear that soon I will forget even his name and he will cease to exist. Like an imaginary friend I can no longer remember playing with or ever even having.
This is why I have been writing these journal entry for years. Unfortunately I started them too late to remember his face. However they will at least help me cling to a small part of my oh so precious friend.
