The Origin of My Name
In 2002 I found a kitten on my street. She was a beautiful black cat with only one marking on either of her sides. This marking was so unique to any cat I had ever seen before on a cat. It was a small splice of a crescent moon. Exactly the same on both of her sides, while the rest of her was just a shiny black. I was taken aback by the little thing and named her Eclipse.
Daily I would feed her and pet her. She played in my garage and outside in the garden. When my parents found out about her they made me shoo her away. It broke my heart, I was unhappy for a long time and I will not forget her.
Then in 2003 my boyfriend, at the time, and I at the time started playing Final Fantasy XI, and in choosing my character I found a Mithra with white hair, and named her Eclipse. I am unable to play my character now, due to me losing my paperwork. I stopped playing FFXI in 2009 briefly and she got hacked. Unable to provide my paperwork she now sits stagnant for no player awaits her now.
After realizing that Eclipse would no longer be mine, I thought of a name that would accomplish the same effect, no name worked, and most were taken everywhere I went. Then I thought about using the same letters from Eclipse and turning them into my new name. It was a tricky process and took days but I eventually came up with SEPCELI to replace ECLIPSE <3 And that is how I created my name. It is interesting how it worked out to. My real first name starts with an S.
If I end up keeping this name for Final Fantasy XIV I will probably be called 7 as a nick name, as Septum means Seven. We will see. I am still getting use to it. Having Eclipse for 6 years is a long time to change your gaming identity. Of course it looks like Final Fantasy XIV will probably force you to have a first and last name. We all hope not though. If so I have my name ready. And I am happy.
