Ok... I'm going to add all the other finished commissions of my last auction at the end of this post, but before that I want to talk about the cool weekend I've just had taking part in the UK Kuk Sool Won martial arts tournament in Birmingham.
I had a great time competeing. I took part in the ladies 1st degree black belt tournament ages 17-39. As you can tell it was quite a wide catagory this year, usually they split the ages, 17-27 and 28-39, but this year they decided to chage it for some reason. Therefore I was competeing against people anything up to nine years younger than me, and twelve years older than me.
eek I didn't do as well as I have in previous tournaments, but I think I was more relaxed about it this time. Any way this is how it went.
Staff sparring - I had to pull out because my partner was unwell.
crying Traditonal forms - 5th place.
mad Sword form - 4th place.
neutral Sparring - 4th place.
neutral Staff form - 3rd place.
smile Techniques - 3rd place.
smile Self defence - 3rd place.
smile Wood breaking - First place
mrgreen I have some great bruises now and I ache all over. but it was completely worth it.
