I hold you close to me,
Even as these wings take me away.
I cling to you as you held my body,
So still, so cold so lifeless.
As you cry with tears of sorrow,
I wisper soothing words in your ear.
I confort in mind if not in body.
To try to cuddle to you with a body that does not exist.
To spread my wings and fly away without you,
To walk up the steps of heavon without you,
To stand with the others of our kind without you,
To sit and cry in a house, so silent without you,
To exist without the one I exist for,
Would be like living without a life to live for.
To confort the heart turned so dark,
Such as night without moon or stars.
