He seemed shaky and a bit pale, but otherwise alright.
Softly, the taiyoukai brushed away any remnants of tears and kissed his forehead.
"Come on, InuTaisho...
Let's get you both something to eat.
A snack will do you both some good, until it's time for an actual meal.
Then we can check on Dante."
He reached up and held one of his arms nervously, before looking at Kisei.
"I couldn't find any lie in your scent earlier, so I'm sorry for strangling you..."
Kisei's eyes warmed softly and he opened his arms for Kazuhiko, gently drawing him close.
The touch was soothing and showed he held no grudge over what he did.
"It's alright, son....", He said softly and held him tighter, feeling him start to shake.
Slowing the taiyoukai began to rock, while holding Kazuhiko.
Soon he feel tears soaking into his haori, as his oldest son began to finally cry against him.
Still, I feel awful for the fact that he had to go through that and there was nothing I could do about it.
At the very least, he's home now and can be with you.", He said, looking on the brighter side of things.
"Still, I want things to work out.
It just wouldn't be fair if I spent all my with you and payed him no mind.
I love you both, but I don't think he can see that right now...."
Instead of entering the room, he observed from around the doorway, careful not to be seen.
Kisei looked to InuTaisho, with a saddened appearance.
"Do you think things will work out between your brother and I?"
He merely gave one last glance at Dante, steeling his nerves, before departing from the room, in search of InuTaisho and Kisei.
This was a clear sign to Miroku that he couldn't decide if he wanted to wait for his nephew to wake up, or chase after his dad and younger brother.
He bit his lower lip, feeling awful that he had allowed his anger to control him, making him try and strangle his dad.
Swallowing the lump the taiyoukai felt forming in his throat, he held his upper arms and lowered his head in guilt.
Though his gaze was directed at Dante, laying on the bed, he spoke in a rather stunned tone.
"He actually wasn't lying, just now...."
He pulled himself to his feet and looked to Inuyasha for a short time.
Without a word, he walked out the door and began making his way to his room, by memory.
Little did he know, the back of his hand had brushed against InuTaisho's own, when he exited the room.
