Born Princess Dagny of Norgård, upon her engagement to HRH The Crown Prince of Tyrol, the princess changed her named to Bragné as a nod to both her husband's great-grandmother (Queen Bragmar) and to French tradition of including names with an e and "acute." Thus Princess Boldemar, aka HRH The Crown Princess, adopted the name Bragné.
