About
Call me Star. Some years ago—never mind how long precisely—having little or no money in my purse, and nothing particular to interest me offline, I thought I would sail about a little and see the wired world.
And what a world it is.
Whenever I find myself growing grim; whenever it is a damp, drizzly November in my soul; whenever I find myself involuntarily pausing before graveyards, and bringing up the rear of any funeral I meet; and especially whenever my moods get such an upper hand of me, that it requires a strong mental fortitude to prevent me from deliberately stepping into the street, and methodically knocking people’s hats off—then, I account it high time to get to internet as soon as I can.
So you have come to me, perhaps in much the same way as I initially found Gaia.
I can't claim to be one of the first here, I did not make my appearance until 2008 as Spring began to turn into Summer. And so I joined the crowded streets of towns, found myself in the midst of the whirl and the rush of people here. Over time I have shared life, changes, deaths and more. The friends I had made mostly seem to have left Gaia behind. And so I remain.
I have taken breaks, but I always find myself returning here. It is perhaps a way I have of driving off the blues, of seeing the world before the polish and falseness of social media turned what was meant to be connections between people into precision marketing designed to create consumers rather than friends.
Feel free to chat to me about anything at all if you aren't trying to sell me something.
I love this weird and wonderful world of fellow aliens, fairies, dragons, and demons and I hope all of you are doing well despite the crazy state of our mad, mad world.
Thanks for stopping by. heart
