I believe the reason abrahamjones keeps getting featured avatar is because the mods are lazy.
If you notice, many of the times he's showed up, the home page gets things like Classilke on it again. I think what happened was he was featured a long time ago and when they feel like cleaning off the homepage they just revert it to a certain time, happening to coincide with the time he was featured.
It probably hasn't changed because no one's picked a new featured avatar/profile yet.
