I hear the raindrops whisper out my window,
tempting me to come out into the cold rain,
I see the dance of a black widow,
she weaves her web while her victims writhe in pain,
I taste the poison of hemlock on my tongue,
we self endulge in our remedies,
the lullaby has been sung,
when will I wake up from these melodies?

Childhood is not from birth to a certain age, and at a certain age the child is grown, and puts away childish things, Childhood is the kingdom where nobody dies. by Edna ST.Vincent Millay

I saw a Tiger's golden flank, I saw what food he ate, By a desert spring he drank; The Tiger's name was Hate. Then I saw a placid Lamb Lying fast asleep; Like a river from its dam Flashed the Tiger's leap. I saw a lion tawny-red, Terrible and brave; The Tiger's leap overhead Broke like a wave. In sand below or sun above He faded like a flame. The Lamb said, "I am Love; Lion, tell your name." The Lion's voice thundering Shook his vaulted breast, "I am Love. By this spring, Brother, let us rest." The Lion and the Lamb by Elinor Wylie

Once I spoke the language of the flowers, Once I understood each word the caterpillar said, Once I smiled in secret at the gossip of the starlings, And shared a conversation with the housefly in my bed. Once I heard and answered all the questions of the crickets, And joined the crying of each falling dying flake of snow, Once I spoke the language of the flowers. . . . How did it go? How did it go? Forgotten Language by Shel Silverstein

There are some qualities- some incorporate things, That have a double life, which thus is made A type of that twin entity which springs From matter and light, evinced in solid and shade. There is a two-fold Silence- sea and shore- Body and soul. One dwells in lonely places, Newly with grass o'ergrown; some solemn graces, Some human memories and tearful lore, Render him terrorless: his name's "No More." He is the corporate Silence: dread him not! No power hath he of evil in himself; But should some urgent fate (untimely lot!) Bring thee to meet his shadow (nameless elf, That haunteth the lone regions where hath trod No foot of man,) commend thyself to God! Sonnet- Silence by Edgar Allan Poe

TEARS! tears! tears! In the night, in solitude, tears; On the white shore dripping, dripping, suck’d in by the sand; Tears—not a star shining—all dark and desolate; Moist tears from the eyes of a muffled head: —O who is that ghost?—that form in the dark, with tears? What shapeless lump is that, bent, crouch’d there on the sand? Streaming tears—sobbing tears—throes, choked with wild cries; O storm, embodied, rising, careering, with swift steps along the beach; O wild and dismal night storm, with wind! O belching and desperate! O shade, so sedate and decorous by day, with calm countenance and regulated pace; But away, at night, as you fly, none looking—O then the unloosen’d ocean, Of tears! tears! tears! Tears. by Walt Whitman

You will hear thunder and remember me, And think: she wanted storms. The rim Of the sky will be the colour of hard crimson, And your heart, as it was then, will be on fire. That day in Moscow, it will all come true, when, for the last time, I take my leave, And hasten to the heights that I have longed for, Leaving my shadow still to be with you. You Will Hear Thunder by Anna Akhmatova

I live, I die, I burn, I drown I endure at once chill and cold Life is at once too soft and too hard I have sore troubles mingled with joys Suddenly I laugh and at the same time cry And in pleasure many a grief endure My happiness wanes and yet it lasts unchanged All at once I dry up and grow green Thus I suffer love's inconstancies And when I think the pain is most intense Without thinking, it is gone again. Then when I feel my joys certain And my hour of greatest delight arrived I find my pain beginning all over once again. I Live, I Die, I Burn, I Drown by Delmira Agustini

Poems by me and others by my favorite authors^_^ hope you enjoy them-->

Her feathers are the color of black silt At her wake hopes wilt Her eyes are endless voids They are impossible to avoid She is a simple creature But do not underestimate her features Her nature is selfish and greedy and she eats what is left of the needy In her world there is no change Even if you are out of range remember when you see her woo she can see you too Crow by Charlotte Lenita
