[Name] Supplice Jarre
[Codename] "The Mechanical Devil", Project IDOLA: Taiyou λ.
[Age] Ageless entity, skin-shell age: late twenties
[Race] You'd think his codename would make it obvious. A sudden assumption like that, though, is likely wrong. He can't be considered an immediate race, as he has too many organic qualities to be a 'machine' but has too many mechanical properties to be organic. Simply put, he could be referred to as "a thing," an abomination. You could try to bunch the two entities in together, but ultimately, whether you'd like to try to pull a technicality out on him, the 'Supplice' persona is human by the physics of his universe due to a perfected skin shell. Basically, he's a human that is, in truth, an abomination.
[History] In a distant future, in a separate reality, a project had been initiated that was basically a gateway for the creation of full races, complete with instincts reminiscent of already existing races. The project was project IDOLA.

The project, expansive as it was, ambitious that it was, could be considered impossible in a place where magic didn't exist. Technology and understanding of the concept of instinct meant hat the project would need several incarnations. The father of the project thus had began following an idea: the Greek alphabet. The letters up until Lambda are irrelevant to the history of Supplice.

Lambda: the fusion of pure, animal instinct and the calculation of advanced civil sentience. The beast was deemed a failure, no surprise, and was imprisoned not too long after production. Notably, Lambda had severely damaged Iota and Kappa, the two previous attempts at perfect fusion.

Lambda was imprisoned for a good span of time. When he was finally found, the people that had found him were jolly well ********. A figure of importance, a Swedish officer of the Heimatschutz, used a genetic mutation known as the 'negative vein' to quell Lambda long enough for him to be captured.

The Heimatschutz had an idea: the idea was to harness the machine to give him full sentience. The project worked, even if it was short lived. To give an idea of how successful it was, Lambda's relationship with the Swedish woman had turned from malignant misunderstanding to varying levels of affection.

A brother IDOLA letter, Xi (Ignis Solus), had been terrorizing galaxies. The Heimatschutz was forced to send Lambda against Xi, eventually having to deactivate the sentience programming. The fight drew out the full potential of both letters, putting strain in structure of nearby planets. Eventually, they had both been run dry.

For a good time, Lambda was again missing.

A figure of importance to the letters, a man simply known as 'Vereor', had repaired Lambda and returned him to the Heimatschutz. The attempt at giving him back the sentience was a bust due to a fail safe, so to prevent anything terrible from happening (even with Lambda's profusely weakened repertoire), they were forced to give an act of humility: give the murdering machine a chance to repent.

The act of penance manifested as 'Supplice', a combat priest of the Heimatschutz. He was a unique skin shell that fully emulated skin, organs, heart, birth... everything. The twisted idea of penance was servitude against a separate universal force, the Phalanx corporation.

He served quite a time and went through the ranks, but it wasn't to last.

The founding of a clone made from the Swedish Heimatschutz officer's negative vein had made a very abrupt change in Supplice's plans. He removed her from a dream reality tank and unwillingly was forced out of service alongside the clone (Renhet) and two others.

The group did a whole lot to escape and survive throughout their time together, and Renhet's naivety demanded she needed basic education. Supplice was qualified mostly out of the lot.

Initially, she was really nothing more but a dumb a**. The teaching paid off through time, and all the time together blossomed affections.

Funny that Supplice fell in love with the equivalent of Lambda's object of affection. A fake loving a fake of the original's original...

Of course, it wasn't feasible that they'd last on the run forever. One of the members of their group, a Phalanx machine, was the container of a steadily rebuilding Ignis Solus. Once revealed, their already small group was down to three.

Paranoia turned into distrust and Supplice went against one of the others. Though he barely did it, Supplice had killed his closest friend within the group. It left him an unreasonable shamble even IF Renhet was still untouched.

The return of Ignis marked the death of both of them, and the finalized death of Supplice was with the destruction of Lambda. It seemed they had been... immortalized, however.

Lambda's irregular being hadn't been killed, and Supplice's perfected skin shell kept him with the letter.

He was thrown into an alien reality, a place still young: Gaia. The differences in settings were gigantic, and realization that he has no chances of returning to his former home have left Supplice desperate.

He had wrongs to right, and he deeply wanted to finally enact his penance. There were ideas that would make this difficult... And Lambda? A delusional sociopath, trying to find the Swedish officer... and seeing anyone remotely similar to her in any shape as being her without question.

Repent.

[Appearance] He stands at 5'6" at a rough estimate of 132 pounds. His clothing is somewhat simple; he usually wears a dark red fur-lined bullet proof jacket with a hood ( usually not held over his head ), a dark red bullet-proof vest with a white, long sleeved undershirt; in addition to a tie tucked nicely under the vest, the vest also holds several war medals, some of which are concealed under the jacket. For leggings, he typically wears a pair of dark red jeans with multiple zipper pockets, filled to the brim with different types of ammunition; his boots are black-red and are, in fact, jet boots. He usually wears a pair of dark-shaded goggles around his neck as well. His black hair is held in a pony tail-esque way, the pony tail itself being held in a wild-flower formation by small explosive needle rounds that are actually incapable of exploding. He's also light complected, though his skin is slightly gray in appearance, almost sickly looking overall. His face, meanwhile, is somewhat feminine. Example.

He does dress differently on occasion, although the bullet proof vest and a variant of the jacket is usually present. A snowy and extravagant cravat sticks out of the collar of the jacket, with a tie falling in from behind that. He wears both as a sign of a false nobility and out of respect, as the outfit is typically worn only for diplomacy or respect reasons. As of late, he wears this outfit more. Back onto the subject of the outfit: he wears a pair of manties that ride over his black jeans, with a belt to help keep them locked into place. Lastly, he typically wears a pair of black dress shoes as well as fingerless gloves, although said gloves are sometimes traded in for fingered gloves. Last detail: he keeps his hair down when in this outfit, usually. Example one, example two, and lastly, an example of his hair and new-found smoking habit. Classy.

In his true form, his skin-like shell is almost completely erased, replaced with a metallic frame, highly extravagant clockwork machine, his face only half-complete with his long hair covering most of his face and back, with obvious attacking mechanisms placed throughout his body. A strangely organic, yet not organic, heart is in the center of all of this, gold-plated with extreme vine-like detail, but whether it's necessary is debatable. Several (thirty) cables pour out of ports on his back, all of which twitch around into different positions around his body to represent his mood. Lastly, he nearly weighs a ton in this form but moves with the agility and grace of his skin-shell form. His height varies between 'combat form' (At 7'5") and 'standard form' (6'6")

[Personality] Supplice is a very, very angry person, and is very, very sad. He isn't much for doing things accordingly to the law, and might flat out break it to do what he might be trying to do. He can be a narcissist at times, ego maniacal, generally a massive d**k. This isn't to say that he's a -terrible- person. He has morals, he has a sense of humor, he has a sense of charity. Apparently, he even cries every so often over the absence of Renhet and his old comrades. Even with his disrespect of nigh everything, he can display sliiightly refined manners.

Taiyou λ, however, is a different story. The abomination was designed ENTIRELY to be an artificial animal, a beast. As such, 'he' is incredibly bestial. That aside, Lambda has the psyche of a demented, calculated mass murderer. The prime targets? Women, mostly. Lambda lost the ability to differentiate Renhet from the Goddess, the Goddess from business women, business women from prostitutes--all women seem to be the same person. When they don't react accordingly, Lambda can either go ballistic or can even try to comprehend the situation. Certain cases, people stand out: won't kill them, won't leave them alone, he'll just torment them.
The beast is almost no different from a child, as any fight can just turn into a joke that it will think of as nothing more than a game. Perhaps by malfunction, Lambda frequently switches between games to attempted murder... in a single circumstance.

[Alignments] It's a difficult subject... while the original entity, "machine Supplice," is most definitely chaotic evil, he/it doesn't seem consciously aware that what it's doing is bad. Creator unknown, the person that had made the creature apparently felt nothing when they had taken into consideration the possible losses humanity would have to suffer once the thing was complete. Nevertheless, the abomination, hardly able to be considered a machine at all, has a most definite alignment.

Supplice, however, is more indefinite. He's selfish, totally, but that's because his skin shell design was to make him as human as possible. He's seen his fair share of depravity, of course, but this really isn't anything impressive by Gaian standards. However, unlike the common 'hero' figure of his new environment, he won't bend over backwards to help people that he's only forced to interact with out of the fact that he's stuck in their world. Unlike the common 'villain' figure, he has the restraint to only attack when he has no choice, when he feels it would benefit his ideas, rather than just because he feels like it. There's always those that aren't the ordinary extremists, to which he may or may not have similarities to, but when it all comes to a final alignment conclusion: he could be anything from chaotic neutral to lawful evil.

[Weaponry] Skin-Shell Weaponry; Vibrorapier: A vibrorapier is hardly different from any sort of vibroweapon: ultrasonic vibrations (hence 'vibro') increase cutting effectiveness. In the case of a rapier, a stabbing weapon, the vibrations head back towards the hilt guard to keep momentum at the tip of the blade, via the vibrations keeping materials from creating a major obstacle. Things makes for extreme stabbing ability, and the supreme ability to parry oncoming sword strikes. Just a rapier that isn't a stinking pile of s**t, basically. Damages vary depending on the target.

Knuckle Plate Vibrodaggers: A very simple weapon hidden inside the plates on the back of both of his hands. The vibrodaggers are retractable, so are EXTREMELY useful to Supplice, the sneaky b*****d that he is. The rather short range, however, is both a grace and a curse: the short blades make the vibrations stronger as they have less to stretch over, so can be devastating, internally, to a target. Armor can be pierced just as easily with them due to this. The bad part, of course, is the fact of meta-humans and the like. Certain abilities could keep him at a distance, so he'd likely be forced to be a 'coward' and use them when the person is giving him a chance to submit.

Kriss Super V, the Vector SMG--"Jesus Kriss": He isn't a dip' in any sense of the word, so he has realized that over utilizing stuff prone to overheat is rather pointless. Because of this, he -has- replaced his former armory of guns with something that he may consider to be more practical. And thus, he's come across his favorite weapon of Gaia's time: the vector submachine gun, something he affectionately refers to as "MY LAWD AN' SAVEYUH, JESUS KRISS" due to the weapon's revolutionary recoil control system.

Supplice's "Jesus Kriss" is slightly customized... but only slightly. It has similar rate of fire to a prototype Vector (1500 rounds per minute) with more modern implements to keep it operating practically. Firing .45 ACP cartridges (FMJ), not only is there a decent chance of struck areas to be hit with hydrostatic shock, but bullet penetration isn't to be disregarded too much. Finally, he usually utilizes extended magazines, giving him 30 rounds to utilize between each reload.

Jesus Kriss, like his other primary guns, have an unorthodox 'attachment', so to speak. Some of his first contacts on Gaia were forest entities of different sorts. Luxa sprites are one of said contacts he has come across. Luxa sprites are, from what he's discovered so far, sentient glimmers of light that have the ability to steal and contain magic, while also rapidly reproducing at the time of death to keep their "family line" going. Funnily enough, it seems that luxa sprite "families" are actually just a reincarnation of sorts of the last sprite, basically preserving the previously stolen spells. While normally, a luxa sprite would be able to contain more than one spell, Supplice has "tore the soul" out of their ability and made it seem more artificial. The luxa sprites that he utilizes only have SINGLE magics contained in them, their effects varying most typically. Luxa sprites of unaltered standing possibly have a longer lifespan than those that are 'upgraded' by Supplice, as Supplice's sprites can die from exhaustion fairly easily... though like said above, they will reproduce, keeping Supplice fresh with a practical carbon copy of the recently deceased. A downside? Reaching complete maturity can take a week.
He has a pattern of outfitting his luxa sprites and their assigned weapons with an assigned element.
Additional note: luxa sprites are usually seen sitting on or in the center of an iron sight, waiting to be used.

In Jesus Kriss' case, Pazuzu (the luxa sprite contained into the gun's metaphorical being) is typically associated with lightning, if just slightly (moar liek significantly, lol) slower moving. When fired, Pazuzu directs itself in erratic patterns en route towards the target (or targets) it is to hit. It could kill someone of weaker standing, but Pazuzu is mostly used as a way of disabling something... usually tendons as a slight handicap to the enemy, even outright REMOVAL of ability to use some area of limb via electrically ******** UP the neural transmissions to the nerves in specified areas. But this does not seem to consistently/permanently ruin limbs and their usage, rather Pazuzu is trying to force a larger handicap on an enemy. Effectiveness varies. Ultimately, it comes down to something like so: Pazuzu could try to "chop" limb usage to give Supplice an edge, or the luxa sprite is trying to create a higher chance of internal (and otherwise) bleeding via cutting tendons.
Pazuzu and its "family" line are amongst the first few 'enhanced' luxa sprites to fall under Supplice's control. Pazuzu's name comes from Assyrian and Babylonian mythology, where Pazuzu was the king of the demons of the wind, a representation of the southwestern wind, the bearer of storms and drought.

Hecate II heavy sniper rifle--"Hector Berlioz": Naturally, Supplice was caught unprepared when he initially came to Gaia. Meta-humans, supernatural entities... comparatively primitive technology. He found that, while the things that he could find easily weren't up to his standards mostly, they were still pretty damn effective. Of choice, maybe out of pride, he chose the Fusil à Répétition de calibre 12,7 mm--12.7 mm caliber bolt-action rifle--as his long-range weapon of choice. A French bolt-action rifle, obviously, and he affectionately refers to it as "Hector Berlioz." Berlioz was named after a famous French Romantic composer of the 1800s. Reason being? Supplice has honestly never felt more at home with a bolt-action rifle, even back in his native time and dimension.

Supplice's "Berlioz" isn't too far customized. Pretty standard telescopic sight, uses HEIAP (High Explosive Incendiary/Armor Piercing) .50 BMG rounds contained within 7 round box magazines, basic all around. Still, it isn't something to be underestimated. Hydrostatic shock is the least of one's worries, as the explosive-incendiary-armor piercing properties can and WILL create a fair amount of mayhem if someone allows the round to sit and collect friction. More than likely, they will be set ablaze unless certain, obvious circumstances come about. Explosions will more than likely follow... these two things being pretty damned sure to happen when sharpshooting on Supplice's behalf combined with the fact that the rounds are armor piercing are thrown in together. Of course, the flames and explosions are sidestepped with the right steps involving the friction.

Not unlike "Jesus Kriss," Berlioz is with a luxa sprite centered in the telescopic sight, providing a pretty reasonable "extra measure" in aiming. The sprite in the scope of the weapon is known as Hermes, usually associated with deliverance, giving the path. Hermes guides the bullets that find their way out Berlioz's barrel, giving it the appearance that Supplice is with the ability to curve the path of the bullets he fires and then be able to direct their path. Pretty far from the truth, although it is pretty hard to tell sometimes, as unlike Pazuzu, Hermes is never really in harm's way. Hermes has the artificial ability to be used as a spotter, transmitting acquired information to Supplice's monocle.
Hermes and its "family" line are pretty new additions to Supplice's repertoire, but nevertheless, fill the role they are needed for pretty effectively. Hermes' name comes from Greek mythology, where Hermes is the great messenger of the gods. He served other purposes, mostly in guiding travelers safely to their destinations.

Optical Blast Monocle: Supplice's favorite weapon design; the monocle is just that: a monocle. He, however, has aligned plasma crystals in the frame of the device, and the outer lens itself is surrounded by small, electrical prongs. Said prongs generate energy from the plasma crystals, and the lens gathers this electrical force and blasts it in the shape of a corruptive, lavender ray. The monocle responds to voice commands made only by Supplice, so utilizing the optic blast monocle is only viable if Supplice is the one utilizing it. It has some form of HUD that is used to paint targets.

---

Machine Weaponry; Claws: This one is pretty obvious, but the machine form of Supplice has clawed fingers that are typically used only for intimidation, though they can rend the skin of a human easily enough. The claws can further extend out for further damage-purpose.

Arms: Supplice's arms contains several joint parts that can extend outwards from the inner workings of the arm, creating a whip-like visage on the arm. Coupled with the fact that the hands are clawed, this could be an extremely deadly weapon, as his arms can easily be repaired even if they were to be cleaved off.

Cables: The cables that pour out of Supplice's body are intricate weapons of mass destruction, and serve as his main weapon against most enemies. They take form as thick, metallic cables that have tri-pronged ends with firing apertures in the center of this ending. The superheated lasers that these fire have the strength to annihilate most things, given they're charged well enough, or even concussive in the event that it is not. All and all, there's about thirty cables around his body. The three pronged claws at the end of these cables could likely rip one apart if they weren't careful. Another detail of these weapons, is that there's circular vents all along the sides of the weapon that can release pronged energy that could grind one to pieces, again, if they aren't careful.

Drones: Multiple spherical laser drones that float around in a tight formation about Supplice, firing the same superheated blasts as the cables. He keeps exactly ten of them stored in his abdomen, and each run off of their own energy cells. Said drones have deployable saw-blades all around them, though this function is hardly used to better utilize the energy cells.

Palm Cannons: Supplice's palms have five, rotating firing apertures on them that blast a rapid stream of plasma out at those that he wishes to destroy. The shots can be anything from destructive shots to even concussive ones, the latter of which usually being the case for the machine. The plasma cannons can be overcharged to blast a beam large enough to level an entire city block, though this risks depleting more than half of his energy supply. Basically a '******** no', as if he were that desperate, he's likely better off fleeing.

Shoulder/Elbow/Knee Cannons: Similar to the palm cannons, except they fire a less rapid stream of fire and cannot be charged.

Toxic Darts: The right side of his chest contains a large ammo belt full of toxic syringes, and a single dart usually pokes out at any given time. These can be launched at about five rounds a second, with sufficient speed and strength behind them to catch one off guard, possible pinning them to a wall due to the sheer force that the darts have. The darts themselves contain a neurotoxin that eats away at the muscles, significantly weakening one's ability to run or even halting movement all together for a limited amount of time. Unfortunately, the toxin is weak beyond this and a resistance to it can be developed.

[The Binds] The Heimatschutz had long since kept such brutal bindings to the mega-church's soldiers, the ones that were based off of the rage that was thrown into Supplice's body. It works to do two things: keep the soldiers dedicated to the unwavering will of the Goddess, and to give them a merciless rage to utilize on those that oppose the Heimatschutz. In Supplice, this dedication seemed to have mutated: instead of serving the Goddess, he has completely dedicated himself to the well-being of those that truly need help, and to protect all dimensional equivalents of Renhet, or those that he perceives as similar to the female. However, his brutality from the other half of the binding gives him unorthodox and violent methods of protection; he'll typically threaten the lives of those he protects, and most of the time, he has little control over what he may do. The point of the binding, as he puts it, "is to put a brotha' down" by forcing their dedication to something, and to make them merciless in how they deal with whatever the binding demands they be merciless towards.

[Peak Human Conditioning] Supplice is a super soldier of a military faction that spanned across hundreds of galaxies--do you honestly expect him to be an easy kill? While he's relatively scrawny, he can lug heavy loads, evidenced by all the weaponry he holds at once. Not only this, but he can maintain the running speed of an Olympic entree easily, as well as having perception and attention to detail to properly act while running around. To compliment both of these things, he has high stamina and is not afraid to demonstrate his speed when he's fighting someone.

["Cheating Frenchy Wanker"] Being commonly known in his dimension as the Heimatschutz's "cheating Frenchy wanker," you'd have to wonder -why- he'd get a title like such. A variety of reasons, honestly. Besides using a notch of hair as a sort of crosshair that lines up with his monocle (which does, of course, have uses besides pew pew) which finally lines up with the iron sights of whatever weapon he might be using (effectively giving him an UNGODLY precise ability to fire, and due to practice, the ability to make precise shots within an instant of staring down the sights), he does deploy many tactics that may seem "unsporting" to those that take pride in kills or fights.
While he isn't without some s**t-filled code of honor like others might take up, he won't let it hold him down from making sucker punches and the like. Shin kicks, crotch shots, eye jabs--he'll go for it without a second thought. He has a slight notoriety for following up on such attacks, all of which are variable. Beyond that, on a larger scale, he isn't above using people as "human batter ram shields."

[The Devil] Too many times have people tried to exploit weaknesses that -might- be associated with the 'mechanical' devil--EMP, seemingly brittle armor, the 'heart'... but these were all grave mistakes. The abomination's infamy in its original reality wouldn't have been achieved if things like that could be exploited, after all. EMP is shrugged off, perhaps, due to the thing being running from the strange 'blood' inside of it, radiation, and intense heat. Electrically, nothing could be struck out by a pulse because there's nothing to disrupt. A direct EMP could, in theory, be used on the burst for a concussive hit, but it wouldn't on its own be fatal.

Heat and the metal that the IDOLA letters were built out of--clearly, Lambda must have weak armor! Not the case. The theory of evolution does follow through even with whatever the bloody ******** Lambda is, proven by the fact that even after the 'brittling' of armor, Lambda remained entirely solid. Not only that, but chitinous plates formed in spots on the devil, improving upon anything that might have been lost before evolving.

The heart seems to just be a design to try to get the foolhardy to attack at full force. To be perfectly frank, it doesn't do s**t but deploy miniature tentacles with a surprising amount of strength to ward off physical attacks, a counter, nothing more.

There are ways to damage the devil, perhaps even destroy it, but the war machine isn't likely to be exploited by the deeply obvious.
