sad I can't think of anything to talk to you about, and I'm a bit tired of talking about volunteering. I'm not normally such a crappy conversationalist.

I decided that by next year I'll have one soup line chosen to volunteer at, because I can use a bit of learning to be more compassionate and uncomfortable around people. I'm a fairly aloof person who spends a lot of time alone ,so of course it's easy for me to be intolerant and avoidant.

Did you have a pleasant Skanksgiving Thanksgiving? I need to quit calling it that, don't I? Some people take that holiday more seriously than they do Christmas!

I agree. It helps to step outside of the strange and provincial world of our immediate peers and environments usually insulated to some degree from the dysfunctions and rotten luck of a lot of people.

Do you do any kind of volunteering?

Not gonna do anything about the CEO pay of the nonprofits I don't like because I'm not a board member. I am going to be smart and only give to local causes that are accountable and effective, and whose income isn't lodged in the wallets of paper-pushing administrators.
