A Poem for my readers

When you left me alone,
I could have died right then.
When I heard the news that you would have never return,
I did die.
My soul lost piece of itself.
A piece so vital,
I thought I could never be whole again.

Yet in the moonlight,
I found solace in its brilliant light.
I discovered something else.
Something that could fill the void
You left, but never completely.
Nothing could take your place.
But the moonlight gave me a replacement.

So, in the moonlight,
I will stand tall
And continue to fight.
In your memory; in your honor,
I will keep on living in the current world.
Because now I know
the sparkling moonlight will always be with me;

Now I don't feel so alone anymore.

Keep smiling over us.
We will be together one day.
