Hi I'm Kio, I've been on Gaia for....for....for a really long time. I'm in college now (when did that happen?) studying to be an aerospace engineer. I like Manga, American comics, space stuff, old television shows, and books. I _love_ books. I love them so much I'm writing some myself.

If you see me on send me a messege and we can do a round of HOC, monster galaxy or ZOMG, i'm probably "writing a paper" or some such blahs and would appreciate the distraction.

I can see the flaws, and I am more than happy to include denial of the Supernatural(apart from occasional visits from the dead and Yui, otherwise there's no supernatural presence at all without them and even Assassin's Creed has more of a supernatural scent than SAO does.) as being among them.
(I am aware that there are some series or worlds that can be worthwhile without any sort of supernatural presence, but most of such examples worth their salt still have heavy-duty consequences and they're aware of organized kidnappings of children and teenagers alike for bad ends without heavily dumbing down threats like that.)

As long as SAO doesn't fall into the kinds of traps that Naruto or Inheritance fell upon, I'll fight to cut the overall series more slack out of
whatever semi-irrational bouts I have if it means anything.
The scent of this dread is still strong though.

I will admit I miss the Potter-world and dot hack(.hack) if it means anything, but I'll agree that if you want to take it up in the PMs or comment here, more power to you as either way I'll
work to save space before I get homesick on you.

Is it safe to say you read on a previous comment that notes how a major factor to the detesting of SAO is that nobody wants another 'Naruto/Inheritance series-esque', well series(by anyone akin to Masashi Kishimoto or Christopher Paolini, respectively.) on their hands or even worse than that?

I might not detest the series per se, but I sincerely doubt the above note would be a factor worth ignoring, either.

No offense intended if you like either of the above?

P.S: I will admit that this Reki Kawahara person's noted common ground is that he's done the basic events since he was around Paolini's or Kishimoto's early teen years, if not even earlier than that.
I guess that's part of the trouble, people might be getting semi-irrational over that tiny factor among others. sweatdrop
