I have come back from my conquests in other galaxies in order to put a stop to the meddling children known as the Power Rangers, so that my evil may spread across the planet
Lord Zedd arrived as the new main villain of Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers in Season 2, Episode 61. He throws Rita Repulsa into space after disappointment in her failure to defeat the rangers.
Lord Zedd, like Rita, was able to give monsters ability to grow to battle the Power Ranger's MegaZords. Zedd also had is own Zord, known as Serpentera. Serpentera was an incredibly powerful Zord, but could only be used for short periods of time, due to the massive amounts of energy that it consumed.
Zedd's efforts have continually been in vain, from throwing gargantuan enemies at the rangers to attempts to turn the Green Ranger against his friends throughout the series. His legacy continues into following versions of Power Rangers, of varying status amongst the newer foes.
