This is about Esme Cullen.I was born in 1895. I lived in Columbus where I met Carlisle Cullen for the first time I was 16 years and had broken my leg climbing a tree. Shortly after Carlisle moved, but never forget that experience. Initially I wanted to go west to become a teacher, but my parents wanted me to marry. For 22 years I married Charles Evenson, hoping to please my parents and have a happy marriage, but soon I realized that my husband was not what she expected, and abusive. I told my parents, but they warned me to be a good wife and keep quiet. When I discovered I was pregnant, he fled. I went to the north to live with a second cousin, and then moved further north when my parents learned of the place where I was. I managed to escape by pretending to be a war widow. In 1921my son was born, but died a few days later.
After the death of my son, I found no reason to continue with life and tried to commit suicide by jumping from a cliff, breaking several bones. The assumed dead, was taken to the morgue, though my heart was still beating. Dr Cullen was working in the area and recognized in it the lively and beautiful young woman who had sought 10 years ago. Carlisle decided to become me vampire because I was dying.
Carlisle and I were married and became the "fathers" of Cullen. Bella I always accepted her as part of my family because it was the first person which Edward felt that something special, and I loved Edward as the first of their adopted children.
