He has a mechanical ( automail ) right arm and left leg, his mother died and his father left. His brother is Alphonse Elric ( Al ) His home town is Resembol, the Rockbells are his mechanics and childhood friends. he gets really mad when you call him short! so dont call him short!
Time Line-
2 years-father left
10 years- mother got sick and died, Ed and Al tried to bring her back but failed Ed lost a leg and Al lost his body, Ed sacrificed his arm to put his brothers soul into a suit of armor. Ed got automail
12 years-Became a state alchemist
15 years-continued his search for the Philosiphers stone. Ended up on earth bringing his brother back.
18 years- Opened up the gate and returned to his planet. went back to earth to close the gate, brother followed him.
