Actually it's quite the opposite. I don't mind him being of another racial persuasion. He's an American President. The tongue in cheek description is more or less mocking those that do mind him, and the image painted by the avatar is what many won't let him escape.
Now what I did mind was going to Walmart late that night and hearing nothing but claims of how "We'll get ours now!" or "It's now the black house!" Those comments I found immensely aggravating and offensive, but it wouldn't be politically correct to speak out against such things, now would it?
