razz I am 17 years old and am happy to say that I'm back on gaia after what seemed like forever haha. Hopefully I'll stay on this time x) I'm originally from California but currently live in Nevada, moving back asap. Right now I have no occupation besides being a student. I hope to major in English in the future and am also an aspiring author so.........yeah haha. K, I feel like I'm ranting so I'm going to shut up now. I got my results back about a week ago, and I did extremely well for my first time.
I think I'm going to take the morning tests again (math and Spanish) next year, because I'm a little short on points for the career that I want, and those are the subjects they require for me to exceed in.
Yeah, we got a one hour break for lunch, but still, four hours in the morning and three hours in the afternoon is not cool.

Lol, I dunno, we'll have to see. I wasn't so bad at the TH games. Yeah, the new games suck badly, especially that new Ride one.
I bought Skate 2 (It was only $19.99 :D) and I really like it. It's much more realistic. Plus, it's supposedly better than Skate 3, which I have to agree with.
They added too much stuff to Skate 3, making it look too flashy.

I took a couple of tests on February equivalent to the SATs here, and it was TORTURE.
I mean, being stuck in a classroom for 8 hours is fine, but nonstop thinking really wears you out.
Plus, there's the stress of fighting against the clock to answer each part.That's what really screws you over. There was this girl that fainted at the end and everything.

Oh yeah, and I failed the first time, hahaha. 1. Because I was over-confident and didn't study and 2. Because it was in Spanish.

Well, you could say the same thing happened to me the first time I got on my new board.
It's sick; I was planning on getting a Darkstar but they were too short for me, so I ended up getting an Almost. So far, it's the best deck I've ever had.
Anyway, the first day I got it, I was so used to my old, slow, and rickety Blind board I've had for years, that the moment I landed a basic gap the skateboard just kept rolling on at top speed.
I lost my balance and fell flat on my back. Worst feeling ever.
It's hella fast and has amazing pop, but I can't really take advantage of those two things seeing as I suck now. I'm so frustrated; It's like learning how to skate again.
I can pop-shuvit (both 180 and 360) and 180 ollie while moving, but I can only kickflip and varial kickflip(landed it for the first time recently) while staying stationary.
I'm trying to practice so I can nail those tricks while moving. Plus, I learned that skating switch is essential. I can't skate switch to save my life. I hate skating regular.
Oh, and yesterday I went to a skatepark for the first time in like, four years?
I took a couple of good spills, but I'm going to go more often so I can get used to it.
I went down the sloped ramps and over funboxes and stuff. I've always feared quarter-pipes, but once I get a helmet, I'm going to man up and shred one, even if I get the wind knocked out of me by falling on my back. xD
I know, right? We're almost Seniors. I'm down with that, but can you imagine that in a year more-or-less we're going to be legal?
It's like, I want to be 18, but at the same time I don't. I dunno about you, but I feel like time is flying by in a blur.
I could've sworn we were celebrating New Year's yesterday, and today we're in March and it's almost my 17th birthday.
Cool, I wish I could get a job here. This town is pretty small and since the economy is so bad, it's impossible to find work. Unless I'd like to pump gas at the local gas station, but I think they only pay you like 2 bucks an hour. Lol.

I got my driver's permit like two months ago. I'll be able to get my license in four more months. I can't wait.

It felt really good to be back on my board. I'm getting a new one next week, though, 'cause the one I have now would probably break into pieces if I tried a stair gap.
