Bots spam for gold (earn millions of gold with no effort from the botter), giving people ridiculous sums of money. People with so much money can afford to buy up tons of items from the MP, and then turn around and resell them for ridiculously inflated prices (they can control the supply and prices within the user run marketplace). Other people who bot for gold (and some legitimately rich users) are the only ones who can afford to buy the expensive items, supporting the artificially inflated prices (keeping them SUPER high and making them impossible to obtain by normal questing means). If everyone had more gold, that means that they too can afford the artificially inflated prices. All giving users more gold does inflate the cost of items (the ratio of user gold to market price remains the same as before). Botting is also against the TOS, meaning anyone who bots or comes in contact with botted gold is automatically permanently banned. [/nonsensical reply that is the result of being superly sleep deprived]

Yeah, I have to use the "click here" thing to get a new captcha a lot too. It's to prevent people from botting a messing up the economy even more than it already is.
