Hello sorry to bother you, I do not mean to come off as rude. I had noticed you posted commentary on an entry I submitted in the ava arenas.There were a couple of reasons I personally did not believe it would be appropriate to be in the cosplay arena. For one I didn't intend for the avatar to look like the characters from the series Pokemon I was just making a zombie nurse since we got new walking dead items and then added a police officer. Secondly I used no reference pictures or tried to imitate the characters, as early Pokemon fans know nurse joy wears pink. The avatar was an original idea purely from my head. I was just amused and said to myself hey I think I will poke fun at the series Pokemon and name them after those characters since its a nurse and a police officer. I made a zombie police woman last year and named her Officer Jenny and no one batted an eyelash. I assume since the entry placed some are in a uproar. I honestly think it would have done horribly if it was in the cosplay arena since my avatar looks nothing like the "Pokemon" characters. I am sure people would call it fan fiction which fan fiction is original. An avid cosplay arena goer said earlier "It's a play on Pokemon, Anything "spin off" would belong in the original. Nurse Joy was never a man eating zombie so she can't belong in cosplay." I have been entering in the avatar arena both in original and cosplay for quite some time and unfortunately there is no arena for fan fiction, referencing a series, or character inspired avatars. If I had thought it belonged in the cosplay arena I would have definitely entered it there. Putting that all aside you have excellent taste in music, just browsing through your favorite bands. Maybe you should critique winners more often, the avatar arena forum is dying for new blood. I mean you caught my attention. I don't think anyone has critiqued the winners as of yet.
