History
From what her parents talked about in a flashback, she was a girl known as Nagi and lived a non-social life. After rescuing a cat, she was badly injured in a car accident which lead to the loss of her right eye and some of her internal organs. The only way to save her life would be to have someone with the same blood type to transfer their organs to her. She did not care whether she lived or not and her parents refused to sacrifice their own organs anyway. However, Mukuro Rokudo allowed her to live by creating illusionary organs. In which, if she is unconscious or weak, her stomach sinks in due to not having genuine organs. Chrome has been shown using two of Mukuro's six skills.
Chrome is also trying hard to learn Italian, since her goal is to someday be able to converse with Mukuro in Italy.
Varia Arc
Chrome is chosen to be the holder of the Ring of Mist, but is overwhelmed during the Mist Ring Battle against Mammon, leading Mukuro to take control and defeat Mammon. Later in the Sky Ring Battle, she is captured by Bel and Mammon and held hostage to convince Gokudera and Yamamoto to give up their rings. Gokudera and Yamamoto are caught in an illusion. Ryohei comes to the rescue and breaks the illusion however Bel and Mammon get possession of all 6 Rings.
Future Arc
After being transferred into the future with a frozen Vongola ring, she is confronted by Glo Xinia in the Kokuyo Gang's hideout. With the help of the Vongola ring and adult Mukuro's spirit, she is able to defeat Glo Xinia by creating real illusions of Mukuro, Ken, and Chikusa.
Ryohei later brings a malnourished Chrome to Tsuna's underground base. As she lay in sick bed, her illusion internal organs begin to fail and disappear due to Mukuro's defeat from Byakuran. The future Hibari then helps her by instructing her to use the Vongola Mist Ring to sustain her organs via her own illusions instead of Mukuro's. Later, in a dream where she hears a fading voice of Mukuro, she finds a room full of gears which is later found to be Irie Shoichi's laboratory. During the invasion of the Millefiore Melone base, she appears at the base using illusions to disguise herself and Kusakabe who is carrying I-Pin and Lambo.
Along with the other guardians, Chrome was given a new Vongola box from her adult self. She later began training to master her Vongola Box with Bianchi and I-Pin to help train her combat abilities for the Choice battle.
Abilities And Weapons
As Mukuro shares Chrome's body, she is granted the powers of "Six Paths of Reincarnation" though so far she is only proficient in illusions. She still needs more training with this as in both of her appearances she required the help of Mukuro to beat her opponents. Usually, Chrome is in control of her body, but if she is in an extremely dangerous situation, her body is surrounded by mist and Mukuro takes control, along with the body changing to Mukuro's appearance. In the future, she learns how to create real illusions using the Vongola Mist ring.
* Realm of Animals Chrome used ability to summon animals such as snakes, This was seen in her fight with Varia's Viper.
* Realm of Hell Chrome has the ability to use illusions because of Mukuro, according to the Arcobaleno Viper she’s a first class illusionist.
* Real Illusion During the fight with Glo Xinia and assistance of Mukuro she uses illusions that resembles Ken, Chikusa and Mukuro thanks to the Mist Vongola ring. The real illusion is the true result of the Realm of Hell if used to the fullest.
* Gufo della Nebbia lit. Mist Owl Chrome acquires it in her battle with Glo Xinia as it is inhabited by Mukuro, which changed it from a Rain Box Weapon to a Mist Box Weapon
* Trident Chrome uses Mukuro's trident, which is much less dangerous because the original blade, which made possession by the Possession Shot possible, was destroyed. The trident however can fit into a small bag by retracting the poles of the trident and the handle.

* Her last name, Dokuro, means "skull" in Japanese. Also, the Japanese rōmaji of her name, Kurōmu Dokuro, is an anagram of Mukuro Rokudō.
* In the Reborn! Fandom, Chrome is known as 96 the opposite of Mukuro's 69.
* During her fight with Glo Xinia, she remarks that blushing / rosy cheeks are natural for her as they were something she inherited.
* In a popularity poll, she ranked 1st among the girl characters.
* It is possible that Mukuro is the true guardian of Mist, but seeing as though Chrome is the only connection to him, she is considered the Mist Guardian also
* It can be perceived that the father in Chrome's flashback is her stepfather as in the flashback he states how they are not related by blood.
