So I've been on Gaia since almost the beginning and well s**t things definitely changed to the worst but eh.
I'm 21 now and started when I was in middle school so I am considered an elder within this community. If I added you and you are much younger and don't feel comfortable with an adult adding you than that's fine. Do what makes you comfortable and don't feel bad for declining the request. I understand I felt uneasy when an adult tried to sent me a request or talk to me online when I was your age (oh man I feel old typing that).
I am a QWOC (queer woman of color) that is still an anime nerd and still freak out and scream out the lyrics to the emo music I used to listen to when I was 13. That can never leave your system no more how hard you try.
