Short Biography
Hello, my name is David Duron; I am seventeen years old. I have graduated high school at the age of sixteen, and shortly thereafter I joined my local volunteer fire department as a Junior Firefighter. I plan to start my Paramedic Degree at Bossier Parish Community College in the summer semester. The firefighting career was not something I had in mind when I was still in high school. I wanted to be a US Navy Corpsman attached to the Fleet Marine Forces, but then wanted to become a police officer for Virginia Beach Police Department. So I joined Police Explorers; then I moved to Louisiana because my aunt had kidney problems. So I joined the Fire Department in order to learn some medical skills, little did I know I was going to fall in love with both sides, EMS and Firefighting. So do I see myself doing this full time? Yes, but I am not going to volunteer for ever, I'm going to get hired part time at eighteen and try for full time at twenty-one.
