I'm a widowed young mother who has pretty much lost all direction in life. Gaia, in particular the breedables forum, has become a form of refuge for me. I love to RP my pets & my growing son TheronDeVon while the real Theron is sleeping.
At one time I was an aspiring artist & an aspiring singer but I seldom have the heart for either anymore. I am a decent copyist, but I have no signature style for my artwork. I've been working on my own breedable, but because the art is not up to my expectations of it I've been holding off. It always looks like imitations of my refference pictures and not something original. The only thing I still do that I've always liked is write, but most of it is either my Dream Journal or RPs here. So either way nothing really gets finished.
I'm manic-depressive by nature but I tend to post on the manic side if I can help it. Much more fun to stay manic when possible. So if I seem to have mood swings frequently, that's probably why. I don't always catch myself in time to filter myself.
My favorite comic of all time is
ElfQuest by Richard & Wendy Pini, though I favor their work over that of those continuing the stories after them. Because I enjoyed
ElfQuest so much I ent on to become a Marvel fanatic; especially concerning the stories pertaining to Phoenix & Magik. I also am particularly fond of the original
Dazzler series. I've stopped keeping up with all comics the past few years mostly from cost restraints but I still consider myself a big fan.
I've always been a cartoon fan, never even knowing that the
Robotech shows I watched as a child were actually Anime. I didn't realize the truth until I watched what I thought was my first Anime,
Akira, in late 1995. Since then I love watching any Anime I can. Though I prefer watching original languages with subtitles I'm not above watching the dubs no matter how unfaithful they might be to the original stories. As long as the art is pleasing & the characters & stories keep me interested I can overlook things like that.
I have about 6 credit hours (gettin B+ or better) to go to graduate from Miami University of Oxford, Ohio. That is of course as long as graduation requirements have not changed. Finishing school is another one of those things that I just haven't been able to bring myself to work on. If possible, I'd like to take computer or html class to finish my requirements; preferably through an online course so I won't have to commute. One of these days I had better call up the school & see what I can do about graduating. Procrastination is my constant companion is seems.
As soon as I can figure this out I'm going to try my hand at making this both pretty & customed to me. Wish me luck!
For the time being my page is my version of Chisa's profile. Everything is coded using her codes. I immitated the banners adding my own words & images. Chisa, I hope you don't mind. Right now I am going with a bright & sunny colorpalate, but that's all subject to change on whim & time-permitting. Of course it could stay this way indefinately too, although if I get some avatar art done I'd be more likely to change it around to fit the art in. I'm hosting all the images myself, so I'm not using anyone else's bandwidth. The drawings of the avatars are my own, using
ElfQuest art by Wendy Pini as references. The pets artwork is copyright of their artists. For all the names you can click their image on my sigmap for the pets' full certs. *sheepish grin* Hopefully that covers everything.
