Ok, I found your problem :> Like I said, remember to apply your actionscript to the symbol and not the frame containing the symbol. See here. See how my actionscript is being applied to a symbol? You're applying it to the frame - looksmile
Also, I see you are using ActionScript 3.0 - that drag and drop code is an ActionScript 2.0 code, so it won't work with ActionScript 3.0. Click File>Publish Settings. You will see a box with three tabs: Formats, Flash, and HTML. Click the flash tab. You wil now see some drop down menus and boxes. Click the dropdown menu that says "ActionScript version" and change it from "ActionScript 3.0" to "ActionScript 2.0"
Are you sure you're applying the actions to the movie clip itself and not to the frame that it's on? Make sure that you click the movie clip symbol (and make sure that you aren't in symbol edit mode either) and then bring up the actions panel. I use this code for drag and drop:
You need to understand the x and y values though, to make it work. That code is for snap-on type drag and drop, so if you can't use that just use this code on each of your desired movie clips, and you will be able to drag them:
on (press) {
startDrag("")
dragging = true}
on (release, releaseOutside) {
stopDrag()
dragging = false}

Do this and you should come right smile
startDrag("")
dragging = true
}
on (release, releaseOutside) {
stopDrag()
dragging = false
if(this._x > 90 && this._x < 300 && this._y > 200 && this._y < 380)
{
this._x = 91.5
this._y = 205.6

dragging = false}
