If you hover your mouse over shops and click on bid blast it will explain it. It is funny because people have bidding on one item all night when I was sleeping. When someone make a bid the price increase by 1 gold and when the timer is near zero the timer reset to 30 seconds in till another person bid on the item which then leads the timer to reset.
