I checked out 5 books on Norse mythology in preparation. We by no means have to stick by the myths, but I think it's a helpful framework for our little world. User Image

Oh cool, I was worried that you wouldn't like it. I believe that there are 9 races, but I should do a little bit of research because I don't remember what they are. I'll post the idea for Emily to look at. We can still look into others if you two have ideas.

I don't insist on involving ninjas, I just have a bit of a penchant for them. I'm open to pretty much anything. I did have this weird story idea a couple of months ago... The setting was based on Norse cosmology, where the world tree Yggdrasil connects the 9 worlds with their different inhabitants (i.e. humans, elves, etc.). I was thinking that it would be kind of weird/neat to think of this in a literal sense, with an actual, gigantic tree rooted to a planet, with 9 "worlds" on various branches. I had a basic plot in mind, but I never got a story off the ground. That might be a little too far-fetched - I don't know how complicated we're allowed to get...
