That's awesome and I loved Skunk Fu! Luckily I found out a friend of mine has Ernest and Celestine so I'll get to be able to watch it in a day or two, and I agree. The water color look to it was what originally drew me into the movie and then the story line sold me. Those kind of movies are really refreshing to me in this day and age when all the major animation studios are sticking to cgi. It's great and all, but it's still nice to see the older hand drawn movies. To me the older Disney movies and such had a more how to put it, a more fluid like movement to it? That's the best way I can put it.
Also I wanted to apologize for the late reply! sweatdrop

LOL well then I guess that worked for everyone xD and now I need to do research to find out more about this upcoming movie! I remember right after watching The Secret of Kells that I went online to look up the studio to see what other movies they had made because it was so good; but either I couldn't find any information or I was overloaded with too much, I can't quite recall. Anyways thanks for the heads up and hopefully your friend gets in because it seems wonderful. And yes! OMG I've wanted to watch Ernest and Celestine for over two years now, it looks absolutely adorable! Unfortunately I haven't had the extra funds to do so yet, but I will eventually! 3nodding

LOL I agree, so far of the art I've stumbled upon of Gimli and Legolas is just hilarious or adorable, I was just surprised by the coupling. Like this pic here I love her Hobbit/LotR art, it's hilarious! And I forgot to add in my previous comment that I'm a huge Secret of Kells fan. emotion_kirakira Not obsessed but it was such a refreshing movie that it's a real treasure to me, especially the animation! One day I'd like to do an aisling avi and do her justice or maybe as many of the main characters as I can.

Ugh I know everyone has their little fandoms, and ships, but Tauriel and Kili just is the worst. Heck it was just recently that I learned a lot of people have a thing for Gimli and Legolas, and that just makes me giggle, like oh you sillies. But that dialogue after the healing scene from Kili had me physically cringing! I'm all for romance but that . . . that had me covering my eye's like an eight year old during a kissing scene. Just terrible. And I don't fully understand nor like feminism. I mean in the end their fighting and arguing means nothing really. Plus there are more important and noble fights out there than arguing about how sexist the Hobbit is. I mean look at the year in which it was written! Does that mean nothing? Sometimes I fear for my generation. emotion_facepalm

LOL no worries, and that's awesome omg! emotion_kirakira You know for being a book that is nearly 80 years old I don't think feminist have much say with it really. I mean seriously that's just stupid to be arguing about, and the scenes with Tauriel felt like they dragged on. Every time she was on screen I just kind of groaned, like come oooon get to the parts you know we want to see! My friend is still bummed that he never got to see Tom Bombadil in LotR so he was really upset with Tauriel being added in. Especially with all the Kili x Tauriel fans and crap now is just unbearable emotion_facepalm

Yeah I got a little obsessed after watching DoS and started making as many Bilbo avatars from various scenes from both movies that I could with the items available on Gaia. sweatdrop And yes there were a lot of scenes that wouldn't have hurt to be included, not after they forced Tauriel on everyone. Her characters not bad but it had been years since I read the book when I watched DoS and her scenes confused me to the point I re-read the book. No matter how much people may like or dislike her I will forever hate that terrible "healing" scene. It felt like something a 12 year old would come up with. emotion_puke

Oh god I know, it's been so hard trying not to think about what's going to happen in this last movie because you just don't want them to die, but on the other hand I'm so freaking excited that it's almost here! I know I'm going to be a sobbing mess in the theater when it comes out but I don't care. And Steven Colbert is a god! emotion_bigheart
