Carousel was born in Louisville, Kentucky, where she was stolen by the faeries and a changeling was left in her place. This changeling’s oddities have always stumped her peers: she prefers reading to talking, rain to sunshine, and yellow apples to red ones. She has a macabre fascination with ghosts and Faerie and graveyards and demons—anything, really, that the humans around her find morbid, creepy, or scary. She hopes that someday her fey family will come back for her and she can abscond back to Faerie, where she won’t necessarily fit in, but will be at least much less odd....Quotes...
