For nostalgia's sake I'm keeping Jessibee's old profile up here. It was written as a creative project for a digital media class I was in during college. Serber's account has since been deactivated by Gaia it seems (not sure why) so the story is somewhat incomplete. Hope you enjoy it anyhow.

Hello! My name is Jessibee, I'm from Shelltown, Shelsia and I'm now 15 years old. I have an older sister named Claire, Captain of the 'Cutthroat Queen' and leader of the Shelsian militia (though most just call them pirates!). I also have a twin brother named Serber, who's the exact opposite of me. While I enjoy going with the flow of things and having fun, he prefers a more strict and structured way of life. My parents died when I was 12 from a mysterious epidemic that wiped out many people in Shelsia. Most of the survivors of the epidemic were children so there aren't many older people here. Shortly after my parents died my sister left to become a pirate...my brother was and still is very resentful.

After Claire left, Serber and I spent two years working our family's shop (we run a fish shop and a souvenir shop on Shelltown's beach for the tourists), then on our 14th birthday (known as the age of exploration in Shelsia) I was ready to head out and see the world. Serber on the other hand opted to stay in Shelltown, so I started my journey on my own and I've been traveling ever since.

Recently we've gotten some new visitors in Shelsia from distant lands. Some are here to learn or ways and customs others...seem only interested in expansion and our natural resources. So, it has occurred to me that maybe if more people knew and understood Shelsians they wouldn't be so quick to tear our culture down. My brother isn't so optimistic. He believes that if they are here for the money and our precious resources they won't care about our culture and my sister...well...she's ready for war. Regardless I still believe that we can reason and if we are willing to learn from one another, maybe we can grow--together!

So here's a little information about Shelsia. Shelsia's an island located in the pacific ocean (nearest to Hawaii). Geologically we are separated into 4 major parts; jungle, mountains, desert, and beach. This also happens to be how we have separated our states (we don't actually refer to them as "states" but it's the best way for me to explain it!).

In the jungle we have the most ancient of civilizations, Parados. This is where our religion has sprung from. Of course Paradions died out (as most ancient civilizations have) though since no one is willing to venture too far into the jungle (for fear of being eaten by a hungry demon) there's no way of knowing if anyone still lives in the jungle. I often times hear travelers compare Shelsia to Atlantis and after hearing the story of Atlantis I wouldn't disbelieve that Shelsia is in fact Atlantis or at least part of it, for you see in ancient times what is now Parados used to be a lot bigger than it is now (in fact it used to be twice the size Shelsia is now!). As the story goes, Paradions were very advanced, not only in technology and intelligence but in physical, spiritual, mental, and supernatural strength as well. They weren't too keen on their people skills however and constantly bickered. Finally things got way out of hand and they destroyed most of the island--making Shelsia what it is today. So if there IS anyone living in Parados, they must be the descendants of those that survived and therefore must be pretty pretty powerful. Hopefully...if the worst happens and Shelsia absolutely must go to war with these newcomers, the Paradions will come out of hiding and help.

In the mountains we have Kudli. The people of Kudli are quite cute and friendly and well--cuddly! You have to rely a lot on each other to survive in the mountains...a lot of body heat anyway. So if you think a Kudli's getting too frisky, trust me it's okay! They're probably just saying hello smile .

In the desert you have Ba'rac. Ba'rac is the most industrial state out of the four. We rely heavily on them for our technology. They live in a city of glass and have even developed a power system reliant on glass and sunlight. They're pretty cool people but they tend to be erm...quite a bit vulgar and aggressive.

Lastly you have the beach, Shelltown! At least that's it's translated name. In Shelsian it's Shelubisusa, which when roughly translated actually means Shellfish--ha! Go figure! Anyway, as I mentioned before, Shelltown's where I'm from. It's a pretty calm and laid back place--in fact it's where everyone else in Shelsia comes to vacation and "get away from it all." Our white sandy beaches and pristine blue water are the envy of all the rest of the world (they just don't know it yet). Most people would describe us Shelltownies as laidback and carefree and very very family oriented. And well...I wouldn't be the one to disagree.

So now that you know more about Shelsia maybe we can learn more about you and your customs and culture. Then we can be friends and live peacefully together. Wouldn't that be nice? <3 ^_^
