I knit and I'm learning to crochet and sew. It helps. I use Marblz and Lykke Driftwood interchangeable needles and DPNs for pretty much everything.

I've owned betta fish in the past, though I've left the hobby for now. I've done a lot of researching in caring for them. I'll just say this up front: Please do not put your fish in a bowl, and do adequate research on them before purchasing. They require a lot of hard work and a lot of money to start up.

Fish I've owned:
Bailey the Betta. Pink/White/Red/Black Delta Tail, male. June 26, 2016-April 10th, 2018. Died of unknown disease/old age. Brought home from Petco in Pekin, IL. He was a sweet little fish, not snail aggressive. Would fight Himself to the death though. He was extremely tough and held on through every single one of my beginner mistakes, including a fish-in cycle. He was a good boy. He was humanely euthanized using clove oil.

Rum the Betta. Red/Black/Blue Koi Plakat, male. May 21st 2018 - December 11th 2019. Brought home from Petco in Pekin IL. A wiggly little brat with little to no remorse. Would bite you if your finger gets too close to his food. Had learned to follow finger and jump for food. Also not very snail-aggressive. Only postures at Houdini before moving on. Never seems to sleep. Had heterochromia, though the blue eye is starting to turn black. He unfortunately got stuck behind almond leaves and essentially drowned overnight.

Houdini the snail also passed February 2021. My tank is officially completely empty.

I'm leaving the hobby, but I'll keep my schedule here for anybody else who may want/need it.

As all of my fish have passed and I've moved to a place where I do not have access to stock/supplies, I'm leaving the fishkeeping hobby. Leaving this here if I end up doing a desktop tank.
