I used to be SUPER rich on Gaia. I had all 2003 donation items and limited edition items. Yes, I had a Halo, I even had a Silver Medal. I now have practically nothing, and it's all my fault. I had two accounts, this one, and Snow Angel. I had many duplicate 2003 items so I used to loan them out to friends to borrow. Well, one day my friend Noremac, real name Cameron, SOLD my bunny slippers and portable headphones without my permission. He had no items to pay me back with because he had just started a new account after being banned for botting gold. So we talked on MSN and he told me he was going to give me real life money for the items. I knew that simply reporting him for selling my items wouldn't get them back to me, since he gave half of it away in the charity form and the trades would not be easily reversible. So I agreed to his real life money deal, but asked him to buy me FFXI gil instead, since I was more interested in that game than Gaia at the time. Well I waited and waited and one day he sent me a PM saying "I'm not going to pay you and there is nothing you can do about it." I was furious, and in my rage I did the dumbest thing EVER. I told a moderator what had happened and got my Snow Angel account banned along with him. Yup, I was an IDIOT. Luckily I had thought there could be a chance the moderator would ban me, and loaned my Halo, bear hats, rose corsage and some other items to my friend. But I lost sooo much more than that, and my silver medal. Note: I believe a moderator went into my snow angel account and took the silver medal, as the account has been banned for years and yet somehow got signed into back in 2009. Anyways, I sold my grizzly bear hat to get back my chicky slippers and gave the rest to my friend who I had loaned my items to while I got banned. Then I sold my panda bear hat to a friend who had been questing for one a long time. I sold it quite cheap and liquidated the rest to buy the occasional item that interested me. I rarely played Gaia anymore because I was addicted to FFXI. Then I met a girl who played FFXI who wanted to borrow my halo. I let her, and about half a year later I realized I was never going to get it back. By the time I reported the theft to the moderators they said too much time had passed since the incident and they could do nothing. That ******** sucked, and I am pretty sure the girl, real life name Alicia Philps, sold my halo for real life money. Anyways, I was fed up with Gaia by then and loaned my rose corsage and other items to my sister. When I asked for the items back another half a year later, she told me she had been hacked! I asked her to report it and AGAIN the moderators said that too much time had passed since the incident and there as nothing they could do about it. So yea, I now have nothing more than what you see me wear, and I once had EVERYTHING. Moral of the story? Don't trust ANYONE, it's better their tears than yours! Oh, and I quit FFXI back in August 2009. I plan to play FFXIV when it comes out near the end of this year, so contact me if you wanna play together!
