A Genome's Story

[ The Original Story: ]

My name is Zidane Tribal. I'm originally from a planet called Terra, but shortly after my creation I was dropped on the Planet Gaia by a guy named Garland. On Gaia, I joined a group of Thieves known as Tantalus. This group became my family all the way up until I was 17.

While I was 17, Tantalus got an order, from Regent Cid Fabool of Lindblum, to kidnap Alexandria's Princess Garnet til Alexandros. Under the cover of putting on a play, Me and a fellow thief snuck into Alexandria castle and went to find Garnet. Oddly enough we ran into her while she was trying to run away herself. This is where my whole story began. Being beautiful, I quickly fell in love with the Princess, who later came to be called Dagger, and then finally Sarah, her real name. I won't go into all the details just yet, but meeting Sarah wound me up in the middle of a war between Gaia, and my brother Kuja, who also hailed from Terra. Eventually, we all wound up on Terra after aquiring many allies. Allies being:

Vivi Orunitia the Black Mage, who lived near Treno

Adelbert Steiner Knight of Alexandria

Freya Crescent the Dragon Knight of Burmecia

Quina Quen Gourmand and Blue Mage from the Qu Marshes

Eiko Carol White Mage and Summoner from Madain Sari

And Amarant Coral, a Ninja of sorts.

After getting almost killed on Terra by Kuja's Ultima attack, we headed back to Gaia, to find a giant portal above the Iifa Tree that led to a place called Memoria. We knew that's where Kuja must have headed after searching everywhere else in our new Air Ship the Invincible. We broke through the Silver Dragons guarding the portal with the help of Lindblum's airship armada, and found ourselves in a very odd place. Memoria was just that, a collection of scenes from our Memories.

When we reached the end of Memoria, we found an odd road through the stars that seemed always be turning, but getting past that was the easy part. We wound up in the Crystal World, where we fought crystal likenesses of Strong enemies we'd recently Defeated in Memoria. When we reached the last portal in the Crystal World, it took us right to Kuja who was waiting for us. We barely managed to defeat Kuja when he went crazy and once again Hit us with Ultima.

To make matters worse, an enemy known as the Necron showed up, through the help of our allies who didn't fight, we were revitalized and were able to fight. The Necron was our toughest opponent yet, though we knew Osma stilled remained. After ten minutes of throwing everything we had, including Trances, at him, we defeated him... but he promised he'd be back, that he was undying. A long time after all this, I had gone to find Kuja, and he died... or so it seemed, I'll get to that part later though. After finding Kuja and watching him die... I made my way back to Alexandria to be reunited with Sarah who had by now fallen in love with me as well. In a dazzling performance of the play "I want to be your Canary" I ripped off my cloak and said "Bring back my Darling Sarah to me!" At that point Sarah ran down from the balcony and jumped into my arms. Soon after that, we were married, and everyone went their separate ways, some training for when the Necron returned, some with new families to be with. End of this story.
