You sir, are a free rider. Someone who lets others do the work to stay informed and either enjoy the benefits or suffer the consequences without getting a say yerself. I learned that on Monday 3nodding
& technically, yer votes DO matter. IF/when voter registration and turn out raise, politicians have to notice what people want to get re-elected. They have to do something to maintain their large source of luxury and greed. But it isn't all fun and games and pay raises for them. Just more so, because they're clean.. and we're "unwashed masses not intelligent enough to make informed decisions for ourselves" so that's why we elect representatives.
PLUS - if you were to register under a party that WASN'T democrat or republican, yer vote matters even more technically. if more people voted third party, our political system wouldn't be so bi-partisan, different types of people would have more of a say and new ways of solving problems and creating goals could be implemented. the people in charge would notice the shift in the way people are voting and would HAVE to shift with us. Our votes do matter!!

Haaaa, well. The CA budget is hella late. It should passed in August I think and no one can agree on anything so all that Sate and Federal budgets are running really low cuz they're lagging. As for governor, apparently Democrat Jerry Brown is leading Republican Meg Whitman by like 5%. Both of them suck but Brown is the lesser of the evils, I suppose. and then theres the local politics, mayor for slo, a-town educational elections. s**t like that. Are you registered?

Whenever I get officially hired on at my new job. Which should be some time in Oct, Nov.. when the Cali. budget passes.
