Minästä: The Most Important Facts

I am a Trekkie.

No, not the catches-a-rerun-now-and-then-and-mildly-enjoys-it kind of Trekkie, the has-read-the-script-of-every-episode-and-wears-a-Bajoran-earring-in-public kind of Trekkie. I am completely and utterly obsessed. I am a Vulcan at heart, a Trill in spirit, and a Cardassian in theory. Picard is better than Kirk.

Lately, however, I have discovered Babylon 5, and even I am forced to admit that the writing and story are better even than Star Trek. (And Marcus Cole reminds me of Bashir.)

In general, I am a fan of books, fantasy, Celtic music, dragons, science fiction, languages, patterns, tribbles, and fascinating ideas. And I speak some Finnish. With questionable grammar.

Wow...How'd you manage to post it?

Dragons

Dragons exist.

Do not deny the flutter in your soul from a distant era when winged fire soars between you and the sky. Do not deny the tracks in the snow, melted as if from a distant summer, gone when next you look. Do not deny the singing and the rustling of wings in the night when you drift in and out of a dream.

When dragons dream, they explore. Their minds enter something – the seed on a pine tree, a chunk of ice, the wing of a cricket – and just explore. They may make great scientific discoveries, or they may simply admire the natural artwork on the ice or seed or blade of grass. What dragons explore could be anything, anywhere, from a bubble in the froth of the river Styx to the mind of a fairy child on the other side of the world to the ancient legend of a barely remembered king. In their dreams, every dragon, no matter their natural temperament, becomes an explorer, a wonderer, a historian.
