"Not even failure?" he'd offer while thumbing his chin, those torn lips twisting some beneath his mask, that small odd smile remained glowing red eyes slightly dancing from beneath the mask that had lately become his skin. Even now in his death, there was something even more ill sitting with him, abnormal even. The outside world would flicker, eb and finally crack static like an old movie screen, and would instead leave the visual of Gotham city to a span of naked black earth littered with rubble, ash, and flaming skies. In the distance there was a nuclear cloud hanging in the air burning up the atmosphere. "--Everyones dead." he stated. It was a simple thought, dark but simple. "--This is Gotham...or was, after the devestation, failure to stopping one of those within the Rogues Gallery. A beautiful thing really, all those people reaching out hands extended and screaming, crying out for the help that never arrived, and then silent; in one quick quieting stir."
Fun Fact! (That I'm sure everyone knows) The childrens song 'Ring Around the Rosies' was an adults nursery lullaby to explain to children and make light of the black plague, to politely explain that the reason why their families were facing such agonizing and repulsive deaths was because of the fleas on rats. I imagine where the fear of Rats started, tell me what are your fears?
