Hajimemahita.My name is Li Xiaolang. I am a part of the Li Clan and a direct decedent of Clow Reed, a powerful magician and creator of the Clow Cards.
I was in Hong Kong, my home when the Clow Cards were released from their prison. Seeing it as my birth right to collect, capture and master the Clow Cards, I soon left my home in Hong Kong and moved to Tomoeda, Japan.
It wasn't until after I had already collected a few cards, that I ran into this really clumsy and air-headed girl. Her name was Sakura Kinomoto, the one who had opened The Clow and released the Clow Cards into the world.
After setting them free, she made a pact with Keroberos, The Beast of the Seal and protector of the Clow Master, to capture and return the Clow Cards back into the book. She was my one and only threat in collecting all of the Clow Cards.
For nearly a year, I taunted her and made light of her inability to capture the cards. But after my failure to defeat Yue, the judge, he took all of the remaining Clow Cards I had and told me that I was unworthy to wield them.
All I could do was to stand by and watch as Sakura, the girl who couldn't even wake up early enough to make it to school on time, defeated Yue, gained the Clow Cards taken from me and the title Master of the Clow.
As news of my defeat reached Hong Kong, my mother summoned me to return back home for more training. However, our reunion and my training was short lived.
With all the Clow Cards collected and a new master appointed, I began to sense a new presence and hastefully returned to Tomoeda, only to find that things were not as they had seemed.
The Clow Cards and Yue were starting to lose their powers and as strange things began to happen, the Clow Cards became uneffective to reverse the events taking place.
Unable to further use the borrowed power from Clow himself, Sakura learned that she had to transform The Clow, the Sealing Staff and the Clow Cards into Sakura Cards by using the power of her star.
Later on it was revealed that before his death, Clow reincarnated himself into two beings. Fujitaka, Sakura's father and Eriol, giving only Eriol his power and his memories.
As soon as the cards were transformed, Eriol moved back to England and was never seen again.
Everything after Eriol left seemed to quiet down. It wasn't until many months later that we began to feel something was changing.
Suddenly, people calling themselves Card Captors, with copied, modified Sakura Cards appeared and began to fight against each other, spreading rumors of some sort of Card Captor war.
Unfortunately, other Card Captors are the least of our problems. Days after I finally confessed my love to Sakura, Aonu, an exchange student whom had been pen palling with Sakura, moved in to live with her and strange things began to happen tih Sakura.
As it turns out, Aonu is no mere human, but some sort of spirit with a love turned bitter grudge against Clow Reed. Knowing full well that Clow died a long time ago, Aonu has turned her anger towards the both of us.
To make matter even worse, Aonu isn't alone. Aonu wasted no time getting cozy with Miyuki, another one of the darker, more violent Card Captors. The two of them have already proven themselves to be trouble and that they are serious about one thing: taking our lives.
Not only is it dangerous here in Tomoeda, but back home in Hong Kong, things have taken a turn for the worse.
Word came from Shiefa, one of my older sisters, that mother has fallen ill. Shiefa is the closest sister to me, even though she lied about mother's real condition to protect me, I know enough to know the truth, without Wei having to tell me later, though he did confirm it after directly asking.
My mother is dying...
With the threat of war breaking out between the other Card Captors, I have to not only protect Sakura, but myself and her family as well. And get home to be with my family in their time of need.
