BEAUTIFUL avi! And based upon the comments of your site which suggest the conversations in which you are engaged, it seems you have a cultural, political, and military awareness beyond most people. Glad to know people still think versus simply reacting or puppet-ting the proclamations of pin-headed pundits. XD

To the Revolution, we don't know that, if France hadn't done anything, we might still of won. No one knows, but I'm sure some strategist could figure it out. I agree, the tide of war probably would've shifted a bit more towards Britain's victory. And it's the Haitian governments fault that they don't have a good economy. South Korea doesn't have any large natural resources, yet they're one of the strongest economies. The people of Haiti have chosen to live in poverty, either by not fighting for a new government or just not bringing in the resources or allowing trade.

But I don't mean we shouldn't help them at all. Just, they've received far more than enough for the country to rebuild itself, then some. But what will this country do with all this money? Probably waste it, go back into poverty. And I think a large amount of the money donated towards them, from us, should have been donated to people here in our own country. I'm all for helping other countries that can't help themselves, but only after we fix the plethora of problems we have here in our own country.

I, in no way, meant that poor people don't deserve help, as my father is homeless (and a drug-addict, just, throwin' that in there) and my mom's struggled to support me and my two other brothers for most of our lives. So I understand why we help them and what not, and I'd give some of my own money, if I had any. But like I said, I just prefer we fix our own problems first.

I read your comment on BlueBombers profile or whatever her name was. You comparison to the Revolutionary War doesn't quite work the same way. We were FIGHTING, we weren't damaged by natural forces. Also, we were quite a fine country, or colonies I guess, before the Revolutionary War and not impoverished. Not only that, but France entered the war pretty late and, while they did help, there was only one major battle, that I can recall, that they had any major effect in. Haiti, on the other hand, has been in poverty since it's existence.

Why not help the American's in our own country that need money too first? Why is it that it takes a major natural disaster to get people to donate and be charitable? ********, we didn't even help our fellow countrymen when Hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans as much as we've helped Haiti. But I'm sure you forgot all about New Orleans already, didn't you?
