Lidea, pronounced LUee-deeayah, Is an Al Bhed living in Gaia. She is the Owner and manager of the Thirsty Cactuar Tavern and Inn.

She has seen her Home devastated twice. Once by Sin, and once again by the Yevonite Guado. Though the pain of Home was great, she realized that, no matter where the Al Bhed are, Home is in their hearts keeping them connected all over Spira.

Years of prejudice and racism against her people have made her more open to the differences and similarities between people. She has a constantly optimistic outlook and believes that there are two things that will bring people together: Good food, and Blitzball.

On a mission to escort a young man from Bevelle to an important New-Yevon function in her airship, Lidea unwittingly picked up a teenage Stowaway named Reila courtesy of her Drunken Uncle in an attempt to shirk his responsibilities. The three of them got as far as the ruins of Zanarkand before flying into a strange light. Next thing they knew, they were on Gaia with no way of knowing how they got there or how to get back home to Spira.
