*notices your background* OHHHH and you like Firefly? Awesome. But yeah..bricking. my old PSP was version 3.4 so i could not downgrade to 1.5 for the custom firmware install...but then I traded with a guy that had a 2.3 or something. So yeah, I updated to like 2.71 or whatever was the really good number to downgrade at and then got everything set up. It is awesome.

Did you look at my list of favorite movies/Anime/whatever? Star Ocean EX is the first! ^_^ So yeah. Star Ocean is my fav series. I even made an ISO of my Star Ocean 2 game and it on my PSP. But hey! Turns out that Star Ocean 1 and 2 are being remade for the PSP so I'll be buying them regardless.
